All this talk about me improving this site hasn't been really progress much since I'll been putting more time doing housework.  My parents are coming back this week, so my sister & I really need to tidy up the place.  Not that we don't clean up, we just want to make the house look better really.  Also since my skills are still very bad on web designing, it takes me more time to do them.  Plus reviews of anime shows & products take time as well to time.  I may think about cutting down some sections.  I also got PSP games to review & I have got game from a year ago that are still unopened which make reviews of them probably useless when I finally get around playing & writing reviews of them.

Last week, got my Shuffle! Memories Nendoroid Primula.  Like my other figures & figurines, I haven't taken her out of the box yet.  But I really want to see the CD program that comes with her.  I've been hearing that it's a game & it looks like it from the box.  I'm wishing that it's a fandisk with desktop goodies.  Once I get my room sorted out, I may take her out.  If not, at least get the CD out when I feel like it.

In anime news, an anime company that I never heard of, BOST Digital Entertainment, has licensed some anime shows which was pretty much shorts.  They got Ballad of a Shinigami, Keitai Shoujo, & Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora.  Since they have small running times, particularly Keitai Shoujo, I'm curious how many DVD volumes will be released.  I've updated my reviews to reflect the licensing change.

Updates this week is my full Trinity Blood collectable collection.  Got both Eye Scream Trinity Blood 1/8 Abel Nightroad PVC Figure & Eye Scream Trinity Blood 1/8 Estel Blanche PVC Figurine up.  That's it for updates.  Hopefully, I'll get move than this next week since my parents will be back.  For now, house cleaning!

Lately, cleaning up my room a bit to make room for things; particularly figure boxes.  Got those Rozen Maiden figurines that I mentioned about before this week.  Like my other recent figures, I haven't open them nor display them due to time.  Looks ok; maybe I'm starting to lose interest in getting figures these days.  Currently, I'm thinking of moving away from figures again for awhile & concentrate on something else.  I'm thinking of going for artbooks now.  Personally, I think they are more expensive than figures.  Some reasons I can think of is the price & its "usage".  I find 3D figures to be more fulfilling that 2D art on paper really.  However, artbooks tend to take up less space.  That is if they don't come in special packaging or oversized special items/bonuses.  My problem with artbooks though is not being able to tell if it's official or a bootleg.  A lot of them come sealed up, so you can't tell what the quality is like inside in terms of artwork & paper material.  All I can do is spot if there is an Chinese on the book & assume it's fake automatically.  But, I'm thinking there may be official ones with Chinese as they maybe re-packaged for a different market.  Don't know for sure.  However, I realized after I brought that Chocola 2002 artbook from Sakura Media that I'm missing some stuff.  I read that it should have 36 enlarge prints & a clear pencilboard all in a box.  I think I may have the pencilboard since I haven't opened the book yet.  It could be in-between the pages.  But box is a loss for sure.  Although it doesn't come with a barcode on the book, it has the price on the book which is the correct amount.  So, I went down there & ask.  Turns out my book is a reprint & the staff there remembered me .  He knew what I was talking about & I didn't give him the name of the book.  He outlined what the other version had & it was correct.  No real big loss for me really since I don't know what to do with those extras anyways.

In anime news, want to make a correction about the live action Dragon Ball movie.  Stephen Chow isn't directing it, he's producing it.  Not much of a difference really, but may as well correct it in terms of official stats.

Updates aren't much again this week.  Complete anime review of Guardian Hearts Powered Up & Pinky St OVA up now.  I hope to get some more stuff before the end of this month.  But I think I'll be spending more time cleaning the house as my parents will be back at the end of the month.

The house is now my sister & me.  Parents gone to Hong Kong now & won't be back until the end of the month.  Gotta do a fair amount of housework now as the load is getting bigger.  Spent my whole day cleaning the house.  Doing this at night & my breaks in-between.

Did a fair amount of money blowing & it's wasn't just for my parents to enjoy in Hong Kong.  Blew some money on games & anime products again.  This time, Rozen Maiden stuff.  YesAsia is having their usual giant inventory clearance sale & I managed to grab some stuff there.  Most of it is CDs really.  Now, I need to find another storage for my CDs as most of my collection is Japanese singles.  Sometimes the cases are the thin type while others are the normal type.  I plan to get something to storage the thins ones & anything that specifically anime related like drama CDs, character CDs, & soundtracks.  I also got some artbooks at Sakura Media since my wnat for them is growing again somehow.  Currently clearing some space for them as I think I'm going to do some artbook collecting now.  Plus, I need space for my PSP games now.

Still got a bunch of PSP games not yet done & got new ones coming.  I recently got Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (got two copies for myself & as a birthday gift for a co-worker & they are US versions from HMV Canada for some reason), Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, & Gundam Battle Chronicle.  Coming soon are Final Fantasy II, SNOW Portable, & Talkman (Bargain Edition with microphone) which I placed orders on.  I just recently finished Fate/Tiger Colosseum & plan to put up the complete save in the future with some other saves if I remember.  I'm still working on Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology & Dragoneer's Aria.  I could have completed Tales of the World a long time ago, but I missing one job class & busy doing those quests which involve two on one battles with the Tales characters.  I still haven't done Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2 in opening all paths & getting all the playable characters.  Dynasty Warriors need to unlock a few more supporting characters.  Samurai Warriors need more storyline paths.  Generations of Chaos is still at stage one, but I plan to restart that one.  There's probably some more that I may have missed out.  There's some games I'm dying to get started such as Brave Story, Jeanne D'Arc, & Riviera.  But I need to finish my incomplete RPGs first.  I didn't think the PSP would have that many RPGs, but I guess I was wrong.  Some games will be for collection purposes such as the Final Fantasy series, *coughFinderLovecough*, SNOW Portable since I probably can't read it, & DJ Max Portable 2.  Probably some more that I don't remember.

Speaking of PSP, I've been out of it for a long time.  For people like me, there's now a way to unbrick your PSP.  The homebrewers & hackers created Pandora's Battery which is like a celebrity in the PSP world.  Doesn't work for PSP slim though & there's hardly any custom firmware for that system anyways.  Updated the PSP News, Hacks, Secrets section for this old news.

In anime news, the Dragon Ball live-action movie is now official.  It will be directed by Stephen Chow, a Hong Kong star that's pretty much a legend now.  This movie will be released by 20th Century Fox as an international release.  Goku & Piccolo have been casted & are actually undergoing training in terms of fighting right now.  The movie has a set date for August 2008 already.

Gezz, too much to say here.  Updates?  Complete anime review of Zero No Tsukaima: Futasuki no Kishi is now up.  Hopefully, next time it's mostly updates not my personal nagging.

November 5, 2007

I got a surprise last week.  It was actually before I did last week's update here.  My parents are going to Hong Kong this weekend.  I didn't think it would happen as it's usually a joke or something that doesn't come true around our family.  They will be gone until the end of the month.  As a result, the house is left under the care of my sister & me.  So, updates will be very minimal to none starting next week due to housework.  Also, leisure time would drop as well.  Heavy month for both personal & work life now.

This work week is a bit off.  There's a break in between my days off due to changing my schedule with a co-worker who has some scheduling problems with his personal life.  So far, this week doesn't look too bad when I last checked.  Could get worse later.

In anime news, Ghost Hunt got licensed by Funimation & Lucky Star by Bandai.  Lucky Star is a bit of a shocker to me as it deals more on the Japanese otaku culture.  Since there's a niche for it here, it might do well or okay at least.  Updated my reviews to reflect these changes.

Because of this strange workweek, updates aren't good.  I was thinking to give out a lot since I felt that I won't have the time to do so when my parents are gone.  Plus, I'm thinking if I should ask them to get me something.  Currently, I don't have anything I want really.  Even if I did, I'm a bit concern that they don't end up with bootlegs.  So, it's best that I leave it as it is.

But I've put up some complete anime reviews instead.  Got Doujin Work, Happiness!, & Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho up.  Want to put more up, but I think I'll save them in case I need to update something this month.  Before I forget, October 2007 stuff in the Past News Archives

section.
