News Archive September 2001 9.30.01 EE120, Dinner, and Chatting =) Workin on ee120 for long time today...Hard stuff. But it was topped off with a nice dinner thing with Patty ^_^ We had La Burrita and chatted about things =) Hehe we talked about relationships and our past and in hindsight how different things might have been ^_^ Ahh it was nice =) Thanx babe. 9.29.01 More Eric's Bday Stuff So I was wrong again. Eric's Bday is officially 9/30. So we went to Tony Roma's for dinner for him tonite. Lots of peepz =) Lots of fun stuff. 5 of the EECS boyz got Vanilla Cokes. Hehe you think what's so special about that? Well it came in this small glass and had these 2 straws in it. I was like...wtf? We were like "Can we get refills?" Our waiter Toby, one kewl guy, was like...uh...no. But he hooked us up with regular cokes for refills. Anywayz, Patty asks me what we got and I'm like...Vanilla coke. She tries it and goes is it alcoholic? I'm like...no it's vanilla coke =) I try it...alcoholic =� Tastes like a lil vodka, some vanilla extract and coke. Hahaha so what happens is me and Wung each have 2 and we give one to Eric. The other guys get free Coke refills and we get a couple free drinks =) No carding either ^_^ After dinner we take some pics. All the guys rush Eric and pick him up and spread his legs open. We take some pics. As we're doin this the servers come and sing their bday thing. I think the whole spreadin his legs freaked some of the servers out =) We get Ray to sit on Eric's spread legs and take some pics....oh man it was soo funnie. After that we went to Eric's for some cake and ish. Hehe 4 of the guys came out and pelted Eric with some spring action guns full with plastic bb's ^_^ Wung liked those guns too much hehe. We also had Eric do the pinata thing. He finally broke it after a couple pathetic attempts and M&M's fell on the floor. Hehe you know you're too old for that ish when the first thing peepz do is clean up rather than go for the candy ^_^ Now the last crazy thing. On the way back from Eric's place we're drivin back in Rich's car. There's Will, Kat, Rich, Grace, Mark, and me. Mark's like...So is everyone in this car except Dave Taiwanese? We're like...why not Dave. So I'm like "Slut...what do you think I am?" He says "Aren't you Korean?" We're all laughing and askin him what he was thinkin...hehehe Anywayz, no drinkin that nite but it was truly fun ^_^ 9.28.01 Today...Good...Bad After sleeping through lab lecture me and the boyz went to go liftin and ballin today. Good shit =) Heck I was even feelin good. So anyways I come back at 6 which is later than usual. I was supposed to take my girlfriend shoppin at CostCo at 5ish for her RCSA thing. She hints that she's a lil bit upset b/c I told her I was gonna be back 4-5...of course she forgets that she told me her friend, who's also supposed to come, gets off at 6. Maybe she tried to tell me he got off at 12...who knows. Anywayz, we go to her friend's concert which was pretty ok. She's feelin sad recently so I'm like what would you like to eat? She says no asian and no burgers (after I suggest some burger places). She pretty much doesn't want to eat anything I suggest. So we walk down an area that we don't normally go to, most of them are closed. So anyways we walk back to my place. Now I'm tempted to just let her walk home, but I'd feel bad so I drive her back. But somehow I think she's upset with me...I don't get it...Guys if your girl is in a pissy mood...my advice is to try to cheer them up, but if don'w work just stay clear for a bit and don't try to help. If they wanna be in that mood they will be in that mood. So don't put yourself through any unnecessary suffering. Oh yea...another new quote today. 9.27.01 I don't like midterms Midterms are jacked...CS 150 midterm today. And it was crazy. I mean how the fuck am I supposed to simplify a fucking boolean function that has 6 8 input parts. I fucked up the CLB part too...shiet. This class better be on a curve. More ranting here. Also a new funny quote! Check it out =) 9.26.01 Happy B-Day Eric! So today was Eric's Bday. Not a fellow EECS but he's CS =) So just as good. Thanx to Jenny and Patty for havin the party there and the food was good stuff too =) Hehe Wung and Rich were stuck watchin the new Star Trek series. Too bad tomorra we all have midterm...otherwise...hehe hope Eric had enuff drink for all of us! 9.24.01 Crazy Well today I am again reminded of the awesome power of God in many ways. I finished CS150 early again and made it to Will's place in time for dinner and small group =) On the way there Berkeley had a crazy Thunder/Lightening storm...so pretty and powerful. I could sit for hours and watch that. In Small Group we talked about the power and strength of God. Just watchin that show of nature reminded me of God's awesome power. Thanx to Will for all his effort as Small Group Leader. And here's to everyone in my small group...w00t w00t!!! =D 9.23.01 Sand Hill Well...I got to meet Ben of Ben's Bargains!!! Woke up late at 7am...Drove up to Standford for a soap box race with SMV here at Cal...Announcers were super annoying. Very bad. We did ok...but we lost to the other competitors. Compaq was the winning car. Very kewl stuff. We won for largest team group =� oh well. Anywayz, it was fun. Went home to sleep and meet up for more EE120 =D 9.22.01 Ohh...Dim Sum??? Had Dim Sum in Oakland...looked for parking forever...but all in all it was pretty good. Kinda spensive tho... 9.21.01 What to do on a Friday? Well the obvious answer is to do ee120 homework rite? ...Well that's what I did so shut up. Jason, Vernon, and I worked on EE120 for quite some time...like 4 or 5 hrs...to do 2 problems!!! Sigh 9.18.01 Berkeley is Ghetto Well once again Berkeley shows how ghetto it is. Naree's place in Clark Kerr was broken into and they tried to rob it. 2 African American females were in the place. They tried to take the laptop but couldn't get it out of the lock. They also took some jewelry and Tylenol and Advil type drugs. Ghetto... 9.18.01 Tang Center Ok...First off sorry I haven't updated in a while. Sickness leads me to really want to sleep most of the time. But anywayz...I went to the Tang center to get checked out at the urging of my relatives and Naree. I went and it was pretty easy process. Cept they forgot to give me my Gold Blue Card thing. And the fact that they didn't tell me anythind I didn't already know. I thought I was goin to see a Doc and I guess everyone there is a Nurse Practitioner. Hehe surprised me. 9.17.01 Small Group at Wung's! Hehe CS lab was pretty ok. Info here. But more important things. Will's Small Group today. Very nice. Met lots of people and got to taste Wungist's BBQ again! Whoo hoo! Too bad I couldn't really eat it that well. Stupid cold and stupid canker sores...oh the pain. Nice job Wung. I'll try to get to small group asap in the future. 9.16.01 EE120 Today was another day dedicated to EE120...sigh. Even with 4 of us together it takes us hours and hours. Absurd. The lady asked me if I wanted to highlight my hair...hehe hmm maybe but it costs so much. We bought duck to eat too. Robby found a new online game called Ragnarok. Seems pretty kewl. FF Tactics like with a Diablo play style. 9.14.01 Movie with Naree's Friends I went to see some movies with Naree's friends tonite. Saw CY2K and Scarface. CY2K was kinda funnie in a slapstick way. It's supposedly the MTV Jackass from before Jackass. *shrug* I dunno these things. 9.14.01 Yes I am Well...I'm still feelin like shit and it seems like I've got a fever so it's official. I'm sick. Watched CS Lab Lecture on the web today =) 9.13.01 Am I Sick? I think I may be comin down with something. Feelin shitty all day. Went to lift for a lil bit with Sean today. Light stuff really. Walked home and was kinda light headed and headachy...not good. Hehe Naree walked down and brought me food b/c I was sick =D Thanx Naree! Love ya. 9.11.01 A Day of Mourning I awoke today to the call of my mother. At 7 am she calls to tell me that terrorists have attacked the World Trade Towers. 2 separate plane crashes into the towers caused them to collapse...all 110 floor. After readin the news report it was stated that people were jumping out of windows...the Pentagon was also hit by terrorist plane crashes. Please everyone...Pray...just pray for everyone. The story is at CNN. There is heavy traffic so the page may load slowly. 9.10.01 CS 150 First real lab The longest fuckin day ever. Wake up at 7 so I can work from 8-1, then class from 2-8. At least the first CS 150 lab wasn't so bad. =) More at CS stats 9.9.01 EE120 Day! Well I spent pretty much the whole day doin EE 120 hw with Jason and Vernon. Took 5 freakin hours to finish that shit...crazy. It was hard as fuck too. Anywayz updating begins in the CS areas tho nothing too bad yet =) 9.8.01 EECS Boy Ray Liu Correction and Party Aftermath! Sup sup! Today is actually Ray's Bday. Hope he's feelin alrite after last nite ^_^ Ray = 4+ shots and a Flamin DP. Jack = double digits shots. Mark = Red... Mike Lee = eh... Dennis = shotgun beer! More on it after I return...probably not sober =D If you know Ray come on down to Spruce and Party with the man! =) 9.6.01 Ahh...Things Settle Well I was about to get my new card key today...about to spend another 20 bucks on it. When I went the place was closed for lunch..Great! As I went to CS 150 the slut Mark shows up and goes..."Oh Dude I still have your card key." WTF!!! I let him borrow it LAST SEMESTER! During CS 162...I can't believe he had it all summer...I can't believe I almost spent another 20 bucks! Also picked up my garage key today. $5 Fee but not too bad I guess. Went to AACF tonite also. Very kewl. Liked all the peepz and plan on continuing with it. Sorrie for messin up your name Karin. I'll get it rite from now on ^_^ 9.5.01 Drake Scholar Sid Patel turns 20! I went over to Davis and Soda today to try to use my card key to get in...I'm standing there waving my butt in front of the scanner...no beep. What the hell? Well I go along and think nothing of it. Later I go home and check my wallet....MY CARD KEY IS GONE!!! I have no idea where it is. Maybe it fell outta my wallet sometime...damn that's 20 bucks down the drain...this is not a good week. 9.4.01 I'm Not SHORT UNITS! Whee! I'm in Econ 100B. Yay Macro Economics. It's even 4 units. I thought it was 3 units. No need for me to be ghetto and take another decal class! ^_^ 9.3.01 Wungist's Gaia BBQ! Very tite bbq at the roof of the Gaia today. Good food and good people. Props go out to Karin for preparin the food today. Nice way for Wung to start of the year at the Gaia ^_^ Next Friday B-Day party for EECS Brother Ray! 9.2.01 Gah! I lost my garage keys in my car today. Fuckin couldn't believe it. So I'm stuck w/o car for a while otherwise I'll have to find street parkin...man I can't believe this shit after yesterday. 9.1.01 Carmel-by-the-sea Went down to the Monterey Bay area with Naree today. Just chillin and ish. Nice area, very quiet and pretty. Pretty good cept one thing. I fuckin got into a car accident ont he way back...FUCK! This shit happens I guess but I'm still pissed at myself for gettin into one....dammit!!! Drinkin for me tonite for sure! |
