News 7.9.04 Happy Hour! hereHappy hour at D&B with some coworkers today haha. We played pool and ate food and drank. One of them knew the bartender so we got some free drinks. They also played with this one machine that will morph faces to come up with your baby haha. It was so funny seeing 2 of my guy coworkers get in the booth and then see their baby =� 7.9.04 4th of July Went home and spent time with the family =) Ate lots and lots of food haha. BBQ at my Aunt's place and also at my friend Jason's place. Also got to see some good friends. My dad took us to this Korean restaurant my first night back. It was my brother, his girlfriend Kat, my sister, myself and my dad. We ate this good korean meat and lamb. Between my brother, my dad, and me we finished off 2 bottles of soju and 5 of those big bottles of OB. 1 Level higher than Hite haha. For you Korean drinkers, you kno =� But yea I think this is the first time I've ever drank with my dad. It's kinda kewl. 7.9.04 Wine Tasting at Napa Julie and Patty came up for Julie's bday. We all went up to wine tasting with Will =) Got some Crepes a go go earlier in the morning...unfortunately sundried tomatoe oil stains...haha. Ended up goin to an outlet mall where I got this kewl shirt hehe. Will got a lil bit drunk and spilled wine onto Julie's foot and dress. 7.9.04 More Thoughts from work Interns...I find that many companies find these almost free labor workers are usually called names and get no respect. But this isn't from lack of respect, it's almost a rite of passage for these kids. I remember when I was an intern, I had a nice cube...for about 1 week then I was booted out into the hallway haha. Later one I was joined by 3 more interns and many contracters and I dubbed the place "Intern Row." Actually this name stuck with all the workers and thus it was unofficially called "intern row". Now that we've moved onto the new larger facilities...we're running out of room again haha. So we've stuck some of hte interns into a conference room. I was working out with one of my coworkers and he called it "The Fishbowl" because you can see into the conference rooms. Haha so disrespectful, yes, but it's all part of being an intern =) 7.9.04 Bday shoutouts! Happy Birthday to the following people! Julie Tanoue, Jamie Tsai, Cindy Tran =) Happy Birthday Sexy ladies 4.15.04 William Wung...I mean Hung =� Sorry Will (Wung) haha I just keep hearing ppl say Wung instead of Hung on TV and on the radio. Anyways...Hung's songs are ghey. I don't know why it was #3 on Amazon and #4 on iTunes...stupid Americans. And I'm not just hating on him...well maybe a lil cause he's makin bank on it. But I did listen to his cd...it's bad. If you're thinkin I bought his CD, you're wrong...I said I listened to it =� 4.15.04 Glasses Something new. A lot of the ppl I know wear glasses. They don't think it's fair that I don't wear them. My brother doesn't wear them either. Remember when you were a little kid and your parents told you not to do shit cause it'll fuck up your eyes? Yea...I did all that. Sat close to the TV, watched like 8 hrs of TV a day, read in the car, stayed up late reading by flashlight under the covers...Heck I'm was an EECS student and my job entails me starting at a computer all day. My mom and dad wear bifocals and my youngest sister wears glasses. My brother and I still don't wear them...go figure. So to everyone who thinks I should be wearing glasses...I've tried. Haha I guess it's just not for me =� 4.14.04 Baptized Went down south with Anna this weekend for my sister's baptizing ^_^ Yay congrats Jennifer =) Didn't do a lot this weekend tho. Saw some freinds and spent time with family. Good stuffs hehe. FF11 has been takin up too much free time haha. 4.12.04 Washing Hands Ok been meaning to rant about this subject for a while now. Ok people should wash their hands after going to the bathroom. I sit there on the toilet at work and hear ppl walk in, take a piss, then walk out. Now that's just nasty. At least at work you're pretty sure no nasty dirty ass hand has been using your keyboard. But I mean these ppl are prollie the same ppl that never washed their hands in college. You remember them...in Soda they were those dirty ass nerds that went to the bathroom, came out, and started coding. There's a reason why those keyboards are so dirty. It's just nasty, I mean it's not only dirty to other ppl, it's dirty to yourself too. I mean you're eating with those hands. You rub your eyes and scrath your head with those hands. This is somehting that should apply to everyone. Plz...wash. Lavase los manos. 4.1.04 Quarterly Update Werk is way busy...sigh. Most of my time is split between werk, Anna, sleep, and the new FF11 which is slowly beating sleep out on its spot. I went back down to LA for my BDay! Thanks Will for driving, Jason for the KTown and your USC friends that freaked me and drank with me =P Thanks to Patty for lettin me crash at ur place and Julie for comin up to chill ^_^ I watched the Passion and man was it bloody. But also kinda refreshing. Went down again last weekend to see my mom. Friday was at Jason's celebrating Helen's acceptance into MIT PhD biz skewl =) Denis was drunk as hell and funnie. Thanks for driving me to/from LA Patty =) My baby Anna for driving me up. So my mom found out about the bike and was surprisingly chill about it all. Another random memory I had today was something from way back in elementry skewl. So I was in a Spelling Bee and I remember reallie wanting a microscope. My dad said he'd get me one if i could win. I of course lost to the stupid word license...yes i remember my losing word. But my dad got me a microscope from KMart. He gave it to me on the car...parents are the shit. So I havne't mentioned APO this semester. My lils are very very kewl =) Went to dinner with them at TGIF after failing at Chevy's and Montego's b/c they closed. 4.1.04 Happy BDay Fu! Happy Birthday Fu! We miss you out here in Cali! 1.23.04 Happy New Year's (Chinese and American) and Merry Xmas Update: Soooo....Long time. Went to NY for about a week durin the whole Xmas New Year's time. Thanks to Ben for letting us stay with you! It was reallie kewl. Lots of APO ppl went and also my old buddy William Chan. We did a lot of walking and subwaying. I swear that one week pass was way worth it. Saw De La Guarda and Rent, ate the most expensive meal in my life at Nobu's. $266 for Anna and myself...dayam. Went up to the Empire State building. The view was so nice up there. We had amazing weather while we were in NY. Like no rain, no snow, 30 to 40 degree weather. Wow. Went to Lil Italy for some reallie good dessert. The food there is overpriced I think tho. Chinatown had good food and shady ppl selling stuff along Canal Street. Checked out the Statue of Liberty too. Too bad no one's allowed to go up there right now. Walked into Central Park...omg that park is huge. Times Square is also reallie kewl. Lights, lots of lights. There was this kewl Yoshinoya's there that's open till 4am. We shared a late late late night snack there the first nite we got in and the last nite before we left. Man...it was very kewl. Cold too tho =P I finally got my motorcycle insurance today. So I'll finally be able to ride. I just hope that someone without insurance doesn't hit me...actually I hope no one hits me haha. I'm also now living with Wungist at his pad. So far things have been pretty good. I think the fact that I actually cook makes him especially happy. ^_^ Werk is pretty busy recently too...sigh. Well it's not too bad. My coworkers have started this weekly Bball thing at the courts which is pretty kewl. Synopsis of Episode One My Synopsis: Aww...friends who kinda liked each other go their separate ways...he emails her to see how things are goin. She's like...I've got problems and issues...it's a tough time...call me ^_~ Soo he's like...damn imma email her AND call her everyday! Even tho she's in Sydney and I'm in London! Hell I must have mad cash to burn! Finally...she's like if it weren't for u...i dunno what i'd do...goes him...hey...i like u...let's hook up. She's like...um...i dunno. He goes gimme a chance. She agrees...awww so far so good. Wung's Comments: Ok so he misses some broad...meets her...emails and calls everyday. Synopsis of Episode Three My Synopsis: Well everyone is chillin with their friends and loves on xmas...he's alone. That sux. I'm thinkin...he's gonna get fucked...Oh she's back! Oh shit, he got fucked! She's with some White dood and they kiss in front of her place as the guy watches from his stalker vantage point. Well that sux. Next day she shows up "hi~~~". She says her landlord told her a friend came by and she figured it was him. She'll take him around. She doesn't tell him about other guy. He goes oh...i'm leavin today. She offers to take him to the airport...he agrees. At the airport he asks if he treats her rite. She goes...oh you saw =P Whoops, well yea he treats me well. He even said he'll get a star for me! tee hee! He says i hope you're happy with him and goes off... Wung's Comments: HE SPENDS XMAS ALONE FOR A BITCH??? He lacks balls. OHH SHIT! Another guy! It's 4am...and I'm just listening to the rain fall...it's so quiet...just me and the plink of rain. It's the that I realize the ringin in my ears. The residual effects of my everyday life. I'm sure I'm not the only one affected. Have I been so caught up in the normal bustle of life and little whatevers that when I want to sit down and just enjoy the silence...I can't anymore? It's ironic...the daily noise has made me deaf to the silence. I'll put up better pics when I can =D 11.6.03 Weird Thoughts I guess I'm making up for lost writing time here...You know I was thinking something and another thought just comes in...people who cut themselves...I guess I have a theory, maybe, on why they do it. I was thinking...these people probably have problems on the inside...but those pains don't go away so easily. And maybe they want an external channel for that pain...thus cuts. It serves more than 1 purpose. It allows them to see that tangible wound and acknowledge it...it also lets other ppl know that they're in pain...maybe a subconcious cry for help. Also...external wounds heal. And fairly quickly compared to the wounds of the heart and psyche. Maybe...there's hope in that pain, that the wounds will go away...like the cuts, and when they don't you cut again...hoping...I once read an article about breakups and it was interesting...I think I saw it on Alice's profile. Apparently an emotional stress causes activity in the same region of the brain as physical pain does...so reallie...it hurts...*sad* I remember looking through some of your past...and it hits me that it reallie isn't so past...it was more like a yesterday...and what i thought was long past again is put back into perspective by that yesterday...and again...I feel betrayed and I feel the cut of fresh wounds and the awakening of the old...my heart...i feel it's dull beating trying to spill my life through the cuts that aren't there. But no...the wounds are not "real" and the pain subsides and I will live on...to be cut again. Lately I've been feeling kinda like a different person...I mean in college sure I was hardworking etc...but now that I've got a job. I feel like...I dunno different. I'm looking at investments for the future, puttin money into retirement plans and stuff. Free time is more and more difficult to find...you'd think work, food, workout, game, and spend time with those friends and family. But even just that...it seems like the time slips away from me =) I guess I feel so small and still inept at doin all these things. I hope I more efficient at it...so I can have more time and more money hehe =P Then there's the whole...am I gonna keep working...am I gonna do grad skewl...choices still abound =D I guess it feels like I'm still so small...but I'm trying to create this big castle of a future while trying not to sacrafice too much now. A lot of my friends are now working or in grad skewl. And I feel like they're a little different too. I guess everyone has goals that they're off pursuing now =) I just hope that we can all stay together to share our goals and maybe some good stories in the end... 11.6.03 Update Update: So it's been forever...here's what I can remember =P I've passed my motorcycle safety class, I got my motorcycle license, and i'm currently looking for a bike =) When I get it i'll post some pics. I bought tickets for NY a couple days ago! Going to be goin for a week with Anna and stayin at my boy Ben's place =) Thanks man! Actually reallie excited about the trip...somewhat bittersweet, but I don't feel like goin into details. Ask me and I mite tell you if I feel like it... Yesterday: I went to see matrix revolutions yesterday it was....ehhhh. At least it was free =D PayPal ended up pickin up the bill hehe. Will quit and my current roomie was laid off. It's kinda weird but it seems like a lotta ppl are filtering back to so cal. I wonder if it'll be weird after they leave... I was cooking on Monday and some hot oil jumped up onto my arm. It was kinda red, but the next day it was okie...cept now there's a lil water bubble >_< at least it doesn't hurt. I've also got some new links hehe funnie stuff and whatnots. I'd rather get mauled (ala Roy) rather than defiled =P One more good piece of news...forgiveness is wonderful... The weekend: Went to campout for a day this past weekend too! It was fun, kinda sad/not sad that I couldn't stay the nite. Jackie's bday party at Club Bas too! Uh....man I should stop drinking...I'm gettin old, can't hold it like I could in my prime ^_~ Other: Let's jump even farther back and I went home mid October...just to see some ppl and go to Knott's Scary Farm with Anna =) It was fun...but I think Julie was right when she said the funnel cake isn't quite as good as I remember it...hehe maybe it was one of those luxuries of high school that I'll never be able to enjoy quite as well. Friendster actually did something useful for me...it found me An Dinh =P This girl disappeared after HS. I would sometimes see her sometimes at the mall if I go during xmas vacation, cause she works there sometimes. But now I have her sn again =) yay! 10.1.03 No I'm not dead So yea...haha it's been 2 months...2 very very busy months. Work pretty much eats up a lot of my time. I bought a sweet new 18" Dell LCD and I'm taking a motorcycle safety class =) Dunno if Imma get a bike. But it's fun to learn. What else have I been up to...not much. Spend a lot of time with my baby. Gonna be uncling for APO this semester. 2 small fams, Kai and Angela's. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to meet them yet >< Sigh...if only APO did things later haha. I got some furniture at Ikea. Reallie not a lot of stuff...but it's nice to have something...next thing to get is a freakin bed...or at least a matress haha. It's been kinda an interesting summer...there are some things I wish I had done differently...sometimes the thing you think is the right thing...reallie isn't haha.
