News Archive May 2003 5.5.03 Decisions and thoughts... So generally I keep my entries down to generic day by day stuff...There's very little that's uber personal in these entires. But once in a while I'll do a random blurb. I guess today's one of those days. So finally graduating from Cal. I think Cal is playing a mean dirty trick on me. First of all I don't have a job cause the economy sucks balls. Second is enjoying my last semester here so much. There are reasons to go home...but now there are also a lot of reasons to stay. Some of you may know what some of those reasons are...but I'm just sitting here going...why now? Why do you do this when I'm right about to leave? I suppose I'll leave this situation in God's hands for now...cause I'm reallie at a loss...reallie tired now...but I still have some werk to do...bleh 5.4.03 Wow... So I had a reallie good day today =) Slept in pretty late...went out for some lunch with friends. Went out to the Marina for a reallie nice walk...saw some kewl kites and stuff. It's almost like a park out there. I'm still amazed at how little I know of Berkeley even though I spent four years here...maybe my years have been wasted in lab...what's life if you can't enjoy it? Ah wellz, I'm doin my best rite now =) A lil labbin...X2 once again fails to pan out! Tomorra! Hehe I hope =) Went to Heller with Alice, ML, and Dennis. Got some Chinese done...actually worked ahead for once cause I had nothing else to do...maybe that's how ppl werk in libs...They're disconnected from the world so all they can do is do werk...sigh. I wrote some senior letters too... 5.3.03 Another Small Party So...Sunaree's party...it was pretty kewl and chill =) Sorrie I had to jet early Premal! Just wasn't feeling in the mood what with the comin in at 5am the night before. I got to chill with Puja sans APO for once =) Good stuff =) Wanted to see X2...but no good...maybe tomorra. Still so much to do for APO and so little time left...and still that BA paper looms over me...sigh 5.2.03 Activations =) So it's finally time for activation! We just went in and played the name game, then shared our thoughts about APO...You know I can't think of a better way to spend my semester than with APO. I mean it was really fun and I met so many people and did so many worthwhile things...I really felt like I missed doing all that community service like in high school and I guess I really did miss it. But I doubt I could have done all the service and pledged had it not been my last semester. I'm a real slacker this semester. My legs were realllie tired after standing the whole time listening to everyone share haha. We did the ritual stuff...and got our active pins =) I got flowers from my bigs...a lei from Patty and more flowers to stick over our ear. Way flowered out! Alias went to Tuk Tuk Thai for Dinner =) Thanks to all my bigs who paid for us to eat =) We love you guys! Then it was off to the house on the hill for the party. There was actually very little alky there. Drank it all in about an hr or 2. There was still jungle juice which was good. I don't think I had that much fun dancing at a party in a long time. I got a good buzz and was reallie having fun dancing out there. It was fun to watch all the drunk ppl too. Michelle with her "secret stash." Este all huge drunk guy haha. Jean passed out. Joey...reallie messed up haha. He couldn't aim in the bathroom...poor Eric had to help him...Thanks to Patty for driving...You always put up with my drunken self and I don't think I thank you properly enough. Thanks Patty. 5.1.03 Pledge Test stuffs... Well...so a lot's happened. Pledge test was kinda grueling. It was 3 hours long. The night before the test I had to werk on the Chinese skit so no time to reallie study. I spent 1 hour at Oliv who's in APO and actually on the floor above me yay! I know someone else in this building! Too bad I'm moving out May 31st...we turned in our 30 day notice...I hope I can find a job. Wow look at how that deviated...back to pledge test. We studied at Denny's till like 3 or 4 after doin the Chinese skit. I only then realized how little I knew. Anyways. I studied more the next day...but I had to tutor at Brewer's cause they needed drivers so who am I to deprive kids of tutors. Was gonna study when one of the kids specifically asked to work with me...now I was reallie surprised. Jim, that's his name, he's never worked with me before at Brewer's. Sure I've been tutoring a lot this semester so he prollie recognizes me but I dunno what possessed him to ask for me. He was surprisingly really well behaved today too...I chalk it up to him partially feeling sick...but anyways...maybe tutoring there has made a difference. If one of the kid's has the comfort to ask for my help...how can I do anything but give him my full attention. So more study on the way back...feelin more screwed yet slightly good anyhow. Picked up Angela who got food for us =) Yay for our bigs...but circled for 30 mins to find parking. Finally gave up and walked from my place. I barely made 7pm test time...the parents were all there waiting for me and cheered when I came...they're so loving =) Well...I ended up passing the Pledge Test yay! I also ended up failing our ee192 fucking time trial again...I swear sometimes I just want to take that car and throw it against the wall...then I wanna jump up and down on it. Anger...but its ok...calm again. |
