News Archive February 2002 2.28.02 Happy BDay Sean! Well Sean's turned 21 =D Hehe We went out to eat at Raleigh's. Sean even ordred one of their barely alcoholic beverages aka Pear Cider. Which was good =) After that I went off to Soda to work on 186...seems like a pain. Ah wellz 2.27.02 BA Midterm 8 am BA Midterm. Oh what fun. Actually the midterm was pretty easy and the teacher is reallie kewl. He's just so...laid back. I feel like he's a real person that just wants to enjoy life haha. Went to SSL to work again. This new Xilinx reallie is weird. I got the Core Custom parts to go into the schematic, but it doesn't like something...whatever. Also got my digicam today. Canon S110. Reallie small thing. I need a bigger CF and gotta test it out =) Hopefully there will be more pics soon. 2.26.02 Kendo Gear and Seti Mtg So today was kewl cause we got to begin to wear the armor for kendo. It's pretty tite. We tried on the body armor and practiced some body attacks. I also went to the Seti@Home meeting. It seemed pretty interesting. Prollie cause I'm new...all the other peepz seemed pretty bored =P 2.25.02 So tired...First Day at work Ok so I was up till 5am doin this damn 170 hw...that isn't due till Tuesday it seems...gah! I almost fell asleep at my first day at Seti...not good. Hehe 2.22.02 Lots of Randomness Ok so a start of the day. Workout with Steve after BA. On the way Mike and Michelle see Steve and me. Then they see Aja. So I already got a lil something to eat, but Mike and Michelle didn't yet. So I went to eat with them. Hehe they chose to eat in Bear's Lair tho so it's ok. Mike and I hang out till Steve gets outta class. We head up to SSL with Steve and he shows us around. Niice view up there =) Lots of fun hangin out with everyone today. Mike and I skip our 1pm class =P Whoops. I send Mike to his meeting and get Wung to buy Kendo gear. We go down to Young's and get the good stuff =) Hehe yay Shinai! I then go meet with Gee-won to work on 186...We figure out that we don't know how to do it ^_^ There was a AACF thing at Wung's. Sunaree and I dropped by to get some grub =) As always Wung. Excellent =) Oh also...I saw my CS150 Teacher today...taking model shots with an oscilliscope as a prop...wth? 2.20.02 Job? So I went to my interview up at Space Science Lab today. I might be workin for seti@home, which is kinda tite. They ask me if money is tight rite now...of course I say no. So now I'm on a "trial run" This means I work and don't get paid...doh! Ah well...at least I've got a job =) 2.19.02 Happy B-Day Rich! Fellow EECS boy Rich Guo is now 21! Hehe. After Kendo today, I played ball with Slut and Sean. It was pretty fun. We got some good games goin on. After a while I was so tired tho. Hehe. We had dinner for Rich down at Cha'am on Shattuck. There were like 15 peepz. Show da love! Wung also is comin back tonite at 12. Whoo hoo! Hope things were good on the East Coast. 2.17.02 Aftermath Hehe I crashed at Steve's last nite. Seein that it would be bad if I drove last nite hehe. We woke up and started to clean up a bit. It actually wasn't that big of a mess. We had McDonald's for lunch. Hehe we got so much takeout that they gave us a box to take stuff home in =) We watched Rumble in the Bronx. Hehe home now and must work =) 2.16.02 Octet...Party! It's the big night of Steve's house warming party =) Before that we all went to watch the acapella competition. Octet actually didn't make it this year. The Jazz team made it and Robin's now on the Jazz choir. Pretty tite. The group from Oregan kicked ass tho. They had a crazy bboy up in there. We were subjected to torture from the Stanford Harmonics while the judges tried to decide who'd win. They were ok for a while...but after all those kick ass groups the Harmonics just weren't up to par. Then it was off to Steve's house party. Their pad was soo pimp. They had Kai's room all bumpin music and runnin GT3 on the PS2. Then Sid and Ben's room with the black light and muzac! Their livin room full of drinks and they had lights hung up. It was tiiite. Mad Props! Hehe lots of drinkin and dancin and chillin. It was tite. There'll be pictures from this party hopefully. Anne, Kai, and Steve got pretty smashed =) Hehe I was hesitant to drink...but I decided that if I'm gonna make Steve drunk I should prollie drink too =) Sam was drinkin like a beast too. Haha props Sam! The cops even showed up about the noise. It was then that you knew...this party kicked serious ass =D Good job guys! 2.15.02 Hair Day! Happy B-Day Anne! I spoke with my coach person today. She seems pretty nice. A bit happy...but I think the coaches are just supposed to be like that. She's supposed to help me with whatever. It's free so I might as well give it a shot. Well I met with my BA group today. Didn't reallie get much done cept check some numbers and stuff. It's all good. The big "highlight" of the day was that Mike Ho and I went to a hair place near 99 Ranch and got our hair highlighted. Mike got his red and I wanted it blue, but they said it'd turn green. So I went with a brown. It was kinda kewl. We were just chillin and stuff. Afterwards we had dinner at Daruma since it's Anne's B-Day today! Yay 21! We ended up chillin at Mike's place later. 2.14.02 Happy Valentine's Day! So it's the big V-Day. Hehe for some of you that means shellin out the bucks and takin your woman out. For others this is a more bitter day. But it's here anywayz. We actually made reservations at Rockridge Steaks. The funny thing is...there wasn't a Rockridge Steaks when we got there. The phone number and address were the same...but there was just this seafood place now. Well the food was still good (and expensive). All in all it was pretty chill. A nice day. 2.13.02 Still Sick... Ok so I think I figured out how I got sick. A couple nights ago I choked on a Tostito chip. Ever since that nite my health has been goin downhill. Today was actually a better day, but bein sick is never fun. Our first 186 proj is due today. I gotta go to Soda and drop part of it off. Actually, lecture on Tuesday was so empty that I think the Prof is gonna make everyone go to lecture by not putting up lecture notes before lecture. Hahaha...I mean he's reallie boring tho...so I don't blame them. Hehe still ya gotta feel for the guy. He's trying...to not put people to sleep that is. As for my computer...still fucked up. I just don't get it. I've sent the drive to IBM tho...I hope the replacement gets here soon. 2.12.02 Happy Chinese New Years! Ok so Happy Chinese New Years everyone! There isn't much goin down in Berk. You know why? Today is also Mardi Gras. I think people would rather celebrate that since it brings us such wonderful things like an excuse to drink and a chance for guys to make things like Girls Gone Wild. Anyways, I'm pretty sick and it sux. I hope you other peepz had a New Years full of Red Envelopes and food...lots of food. Peace. 2.8.02 Skewl skewl skewl Sup everyone. Well skewl has been pretty ok. Falling into a nice pattern again. Have time to work out a lot and do TKD and also lunch friends sometimes. Hehe still gotta work on my homework schedule tho. Good thing BA 120 is such a cake class. Kundo is startin to get pretty kewl. I got a new anime Noir on Monday. Hehe I'm just about done with it today =) good stuff. Wish I had more hehe. Steve's off to Reno this weekend and Wung is off on the East Coast drinkin it up. Cheers to you boyz =D Live it up! 2.3.02 Super Bowl! Super Bowl upset! Who coulda guessed that Pats would win. Anyways, spent the day at Steve's place. Worked on BA and some CS. CS 170 sux balls by the way. I can't figure this algorithm shit out. GAH! 2.2.02 Happy B-Day Sulack! Happy Birthday Steve! Today was supposed to be a day for me to get my shit done. Well it's Steve's bday so we ended up goin to Barney's and havin dinner together. Naree had to go back to studio to work on her proj. We ended up watchin Ocean's Eleven at Aja's place. Good stuff =) Some random things also happened today. I saw a homeless 1/2 naked person get arrested. And while driving to Shady Azn, I got flagged down on Channing by a Korean Lady. She apparently ran into an elderly woman who had a bad back. I had to drive her up to Clark Kerr so that she could have dinner or something. I mean, how random tho. |
