News Archive December 2001 12.27.01 ... I dunno what to title since nothing reallie happened. hehe. I ran some errands today. My bro gave me a haircut. Finally I have it short again. I was supposed to go boardin with some friends, but decided not to. Since my bro decided not to and my sis is around. Instead I brought my cousins to nickel nickel. Good stuff always =) Chilled at home, ate dinner, and watched some rented movies =) Hehe if some of you are thinkin what about Naree. Hehe I've been talkin to her over break at nite. She might come down so we'll see =) 12.25.01 Merry X-mas! I spent today just chillin at my Grandma's place and eatin. I went to get my sister from LAX yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. We got there early and had to wait. They were letting anyone into the gate area. I saw Jean too. She dropped off her gift for me. She's so sweet. I went to see Cindy today. I almost remembered where she lived...I was thrown off by her aunt standing outside her place =P I called a lot of old friends to wish them a merry x-mas. I actually talked with Julie too. I got her voicemail then my phone died so I used my bro's. She picked up cause she heard the phone this time. We chatted for a bit. It was kinda weird, but reallie familiar too. ah well. All in all didn't do much today. Hehe it was a good day =) Merry X-mas everyone! 12.23.01 Shopping Hell and Church =) Ok so I went to church today. I forgot the offering at home cause I kinda rushed out. I saw a bunch of old friends and stuff. It was potluck today. There's always reallie good food at potluck =) I talked with Mike. He's been good. Just chillin and stuff too. I went shopping with my brother at South Coast afterwards. I had to go at 5 tho to get my cousincs from the restaurant. We ate there and then took them home. We made a couple stops tho. They were trying to look for Mario Party 2 so i took them to 3 shops lookin for it. They didn't have it. I mean how hard is it to find that game? When Joe and I finally got home we went with his friend Eric to buy something at the Koean market. I also went to buy some wrapping paper at the 99 cent store. So much driving around today =) Better than tests tho...that's for sure. I watched The Score with my dad as we ate some spaghetti. My brother went to get something with his friend. The movie's pretty good =) And that's my day...ah so full of...well not studying =) 12.22.01 Another day here Today was one of my uncle's b-days. We went to my Grandma's place first and put some flowers at the grave of my Grandpa. It's weird to thing that it's been so long...after that we drove to a restaurant in Irvine to get some eats. It was all good food =) My cousin kept ranting about Lord of the Rings so my uncle decided to take us all. Ok...round 2! Hehe the place was just as crowded so we split up and watched it. Went to my Grandma's place after that and got more food. hehe notice that I go to my Grandma's place and eat a lot huh. It's what happens when I go home =) 12.21.01 Long Drive Home So it ends up that it was just Steve, Mike, and me in the car. Wung decided to catch a later ride with Grace =) It's all good tho. We left at around 9 and started the drive back. It was pretty amusing for a good portion of the drive. We stopped for lunch at In and Out and Mike passed out after that. It rained on and off but not too much. The traffic wasn't reallie bad at all until we hit the UCLA area...ug then it was bad...Got home at around 5 or 6 so actually was a pretty long drive. Steve's mom came to get Steve and Mike from my place then I headed over to my Grandma's place to get some dinner =) I'll be at home from now on usin my laptop modem so I'll try to update as much as I can but don't expect too much =) 12.20.01 Ahh to be done! So what can I say...I'm finished =) I went earlier today and watched Lord of the Rings with Sean and Sunaree. It was pretty good stuff =). Reallie long tho. And lots of close-ups of Woods and the Ring. Other than that I had no complaints. =) I helped Sunaree pack up her stuff sicne she was headin home tonite. I had dinner at Thai House with some old floormates =) It was reallie kewl. I got to see Denise and Michelle's pad too =D Hi! It's reallie kewl. Hehe ok must sleep so that I can drive tomorra. 12.19.01 Final THREE DOOD! Aiite foo. Last one. So stoked yet so scared. Warren was tough to find but we found it. The final was ok...better than I thought. I think I'm good for a pass the class score. As usual Fearing...that beast...had the answer sheet rite outside after the test. As usualy there was a graph matching section worth a lot that I coudln't figure out...sigh. Oh well...I'm DONE I'm DONE I'm DONE!!! MUAA HA AHHA HA!!!! 12.18.01 Final TWO FOO! Ah so today I had my Econ 100b final. It was actually pretty cake. No math problems just a bunch of short essay type things. I think it'll be ok tho. Gotta go hardcore on that frekin 120 now. Wung had a lil bbq today cause Jason's never had his steak before. It was good stuff. Thanx Wung I needed that break. Randy showed up and offered us to go boardin tomorra...hehe. I wish...but there's that final thing =P I found out that Rich is also drivin down Friday hehe =) CARAVAN!!! Ah well...must study...must not play RO! Sunaree went to the Bear Market tonite...came back with 54 frozen pizza's and 2 6 packs of sodie...hahaha snackage!!! She had a bit too many swipes but who can blame her...DC =P 12.17.01 Ragnarok Online Beta!!! Curse you Robby! Why must you tell me now? Ragnorak online is an online game similar to Diablo 2. It's reallie fun and now it's out??? How am I gonna study...must resist! 12.15.01 Party's Galore Went to ball at the RSF with Jason, Ryan, and Sean today. Man...I'm reallie outta shape. It was tough keepin up when I was playin. But it was fun. Today was Patty's Christmas party thing at nite so we went there for dinner. It was reallie good. Rich made turkey and stuffing, Patty had desserts and ham, there was some sushi, mashed potatoes, just lots of food. It was reallie tite =) Thanx Patty and Jenny for havin everyone over =) There were lots of people so it was pretty cramped. It got clear when some of the guys put on Girls Gone Wild upstairs but then they trickled down again. There was a scare that they were towing at the KFC downstairs and like 10 people ran out to move their cars. Hehe, there was also a Gamecube with Smash Bros =D After Patty's thing Sunaree's friend Tanya had a lil party thing too. We went there and she talked with her old Arch friends. Then there was yet another party at her friend Chaz's place. The floor was damn sticky. I almost lost my shoe a couple times. Chaz was actually pretty old but also pretty kewl. There were some girls at the party that were pretty much damn drunk so it was fun to watch. Ah...now tomorrow must get down to business of studying...hopefully 12.14.01 Bucca Di Beppo and Vanilla Sky So to celebrate the end of 150 and just to chill in general a bunch of us went out to Bucca Di Beppo to have some dinner then watch Vanilla Sky. There were some lil mishaps along the way. Somehow Jack never got picked up so Ray drove back to Berkeley to get him. He seriously made it round trip in like 30 minutes or something. He must have been speedin like a mofo. Anywayz the food was good, and there was a lot of it too. We got some garlic bread that was soo good. It was like bread with roasted garlic and cheese on it. We ordered about 5 or 6 dishes. Now these aren't your regular size dishes. This place does family style dinner. So a lot! We ended up ordering about 1 dish too many so there was some leftover spaghetti and a lot of friggin mashed potatoes left. At the movie theatre we saw an arcade game called Deer Hunting USA. Fu just had to give it a shot. He chose the crossbow and...was not so good at hunting deer aparently =P. The movie was pretty good. Reallie weird and trippy tho. If you've seen Perfect Blue then you might know what I mean =) It was a good day. 12.13.01 Final One! The 150 Final was today. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it could be. Of course I did something stupid. I read multiplier as multiplexor so there goes 15 points...sigh. Anyways I don't feel so bad. I think I'm gonna end up with around a Bish range so that's ok. I went to Pasand tonite to eat. Pretty good stuff. Very filling if you get the Thali meal combo thing. Sunaree's comp is totally completed now. If only it'd work. RCC messed something up so now neither comp can get on the internet. Oh well... 12.09.01 House of Prime Rib!!! Well I went to House of Prime Rib tonite with a bunch of friends. Lots of EECS people and we treated Randy out to dinner. Will miscounted people so we had to wait a bit. Ray showed up after a card tourney. His hair was reallie messed up. I think he's gonna wait till he goes home to get it cut. When we finally got seated it was pretty kewl. The some of the 49ers were sitting behind us. Chi saw them and told the rest of us. Too bad Nelson didn't make it. I think he woulda been all over them. Bread was warm and pretty good. But the prime rib. MMM...I had a piece of bone in mine but man. It was good stuff. Only about 16 oz tho. I was kinda expecting larger pieces and it wasn't all you can eat. What you do get is another little slice after the first one. I think about 18 oz total. A good full number. hehe. I kept hearing about the Yorkshire Pudding but I didn't think it was all that good though. It was kinda bland. Our waitress got some sauce on Calvin's white sweater. That suxed. She kept trying to get him to let her pay for the dry cleaning and stuff. It was amusing. Grace had a picture taken of all of us before we started eating. hehe kewl nite =) Alas...finals are around the corner... 12.08.01 Movie Night? Did absolutely nothing today but sleep in. At night went to Sunaree's friend Matt's place for dinner and movie. Matt made pasta with alfredo sauce. It was good. We bought cookies and garlic bread to go with that stuff. It was a good dinner. We were supposed to watch Requiem for a Dream, but ended up seeing The Empire Strikes Back beacause a lot of the guys at his place were watchin it. Star Wars never gets old...Went back and watched Jay and Silent Bob at my place. That movie has a lot of American Pie and other random peepz. Like just cameos everywhere...Even Mark Hamill was in it hehe. 12.07.01 No more 150!!! Well today started off with the usual late waking. Went to Will's at 12ish to finish the report for 150. I had to sit there and add page numbers to all the sheets and do the Table of Contents. Rich's printer was kinda doin something funky to one of the pages so I just started feeding the printer page by page...44 pages of that. On the way to class we got it bound and then went to lab lecture. Turned in the report and turned in the board and that's it for 150 =) I went to go see Naree's e28 project afterwards. They got first place for the competition thing ^_^ congrats. Went to go lift with Will and Fu afterwards...the first time in forever. Lost much strength over the project period. We were supposed to go to House of Prime Rib, but since a lot of guys had to bail it got moved to Sunday. Instead Wung, Fu, Randy and I went to this little Italian place in Oakland. It was reallie good. I swear everything was handmade, and the bread...wow. Randy found a hair in his so they made him another one. It took just as long to get out, but they must have given him double portions. He had just huge amounts of pasta. Sunaree got home from finishing the drawings for e28 at like 12 and Slut and I went to Worldbeat to meet up with the other guys. We were both waitin for our girlfriends =) Dood Slut got drunk freakin fast =) After a couple shots of peach soju, soju, and some beer he was gone. Hehe I think his girlfriend could out drink him. But it was kewl. School's almost out...thank goodness. =) 12.06.01 Long Day Today started off pretty weird. I had a strange dream about sky diving and my sister came down south. For some reason a lot of my weird dreams I can remember are partially set at my church down south...eh. Ok...So I missed the last lectures for Econ today too...Whoops. Wung and I went to lab and finished printing out the last of the design doc. It's actually a lot of damn pages when it's done. After that we went to pre-Large Group dinner at Daruma's. It was kewl. Just eatin and chattin and stuff. Large group was reallie tite today. There was a band called NU Kreation. It was kewl. It made everything reallie lively and all. Got home from Large Group and went home. I got to chat with Cindy for a while and it seems like Mike, Steve, and Wung are gonna comem down south with me. I think that'll be an interestin trip =) After only about 10 or 20 minutes at home I find that Ray needed some of that Dust Off stuff for the computer and Sunaree wanted food. So I went out and brought Ray the stuff and got Naree food. I then stayed at MEP (Some random place on campus). I chatted with Cindy some more, helped read Kat's (A friend at USC) essay, and found that Anna admitted to something reallie funnie =) It's down below...now I'm tired and need to sleep some. khoolman (4:08:18 AM): The weather here at Berkeley is so fickle. I was just chillin at Naree's today writin the 150 design doc when I IMed will to find out that when the TA's looked at our project today they said it wasn't good enough again...I mean what is this bullshit. They said it was ok yesterday. They took the bitfile, played it again and now it's not good enought again? What the fuck you pricks! You can't jerk us around all the time changing your mind about if it's ok or not. We didn't change jack shit and you can't believe that you were wrong the first time around. They're not even giving us 50%...20 fucking percent...I dunno but I feel cheated. Fuck EECS...I shoulda gone Haas so I could play my ass off all day and enjoy college...case studies and papers have nothing on EECS... 12.04.01 Final Checkoff BS and EE120! Well it seems that our low pass filter crap is still bothering some TA's for 150. They listened to it tonite and thought it was ok tho. So whatever. I think we're good for out 70% bullshit. Went to turn in decal paper and found that class was cancelled. Just turn in paper =) Final check off for 150 didn't happen till 8, but that's because they were behind schedule. But at least I'm done now =D Jason and Vern came to Cory to work on 120 while I waited for check off. The homework was pretty hard...I think I'm fucked for the final. I reallie gotta study a lot more now... 12.03.01 Paper Time! Well I went head and checked out all the books I needed for my decal paper. This is reallie some BS tho...I mean whatever. Hehe didn't take too long to write up anyways. And I still got four pages. =) Oh man almost done with skewl. I'll be so happy for this semester to just die. 150 check off and I can finish that proj and 1 last EE120 hw... 12.02.01 Claim Jumper! Went to Claim Jumper with some of the boys. Ray talked us all into getting the 24oz Porterhouse Steak. Even Sunaree ordered it. Nelson was bein his usual self..."Are there skins in the mashed potatoes? Is it garlic flavored?" =) He ended up gettin it while Ray was badgerin Nelson to get fries. It was actually pretty good. Mine was cooked a lil too rare on some parts...oh I feel sick tho...too much meat. Sunaree actually finished the whole steak. She's a beast! All the guys kept sayin, "Dave, you're a lucky man." Our waitress kicked ass tho. She took care of all our orders and ish real fast. Must go home and work on paper for stupid DeCal... 12.01.01 Got Rice? Woke up Pretty late today. Just went to Naree's place and started putting her computer together. It took me a whiles to figure out that damn heatsink for the AMD. They put the wrong instructions for the heatsink. After that we went to Theatre Rice. I ran into Denise and Olivia there it was kewl ^_^ We chatted a bit. After that my bro's friend Kathy shows up. I didn't remember her from FV, but my bro spoke about her before so it's all good. Kinda figured it was her =� Theater Rice kicked ass. At first it was pretty sad and all...but then the comedy part started. Good catharsis then good laugh =D |
