Yea ok...so about the project. That piece of shit thing! This class has probably been my worst experience at Cal so far. I mean it reallie shows that even when you have the good, a couple of bad people can just totally ruin it for you...

11/15/01 7:00 pm - 4:00 am 9 hours. Blah. I tried to work and think about this shit. It's way complex...the design is going to be a bitch...I ended up tryin to finish of the hw mostly...gah! On the plus side Naree brought me some food so I didn't starve today...Yay!!!

11/9/01 Xilinx is a bitch. It worked and then it didn't work. We took out the OPADS..put them back in. That was it! And it worked again! Check off! Now! Oh...I don't think I can take much more...Thank goodness only 1 more check point.

11/8/01 Ok we did something stupid. After having Calvin help us a bit we fixed up our design a bit...but also we didn't have a pad for the clock...doh!!!! Check off please!!!!

10/30/01 MIDTERM 2!!! I have to say that this midterm was easier than the last one. Don't let that fool you though. There were plenty of tricky ass questions that were asked. I fucked up on lots of lil things...I bet Imma get assraped by those mistakes...this sux! I hate it when that happens...dammit!

10/27/01 1:00 pm - 2:00 am 13 hours Ok it's Halloween weekend and I could have gone to 2 or 3 parties...NO! Must be in lab and code! This sux ass! I found out that a party I missed had lots of good alcohol and lots of cute girls. Heck one of them is even a stripper in SF. =� Sigh the things you miss while you're in lab.

10/26/01 3:30 pm - 2:30 am 11 hours Will and I went to lab lecture and then jetted to lab afterwards. We found some bugs with keypress. Damn thing wasn't running on the correct clock...I hate it when that happens. At least we found a comp with a good oscilliscope. A lil more and I think we can finish off this bastard.

10/25/01 3:30 pm - 2:30 am 11 hours Well, I worked straight on the FSM and I think I finally got somewhere. I went home and worked from home for a bit. I am so freakin tired that when I installed Xilinx I couldn't find the key code. I had to call Will and have him tell me it's on the freakin cd...ok I'm an idiot, but I'm tired so hush. Finished up the FSM. Just need to test it and ish. hehe. Fun fun fun...damn...we not gonna finish in time...Please God give us a hand.

10/24/01 11:00 am - 1:30 pm, 5:00 pm - 4:00 am. 14.5 hours. Hehe well. I guess it's time to start workin on the projs eh. Hehe. Well I skipped EE120 Discussion to start the wirewrapping. Freakin-a. It takes soo long. I finished up wirewrapping around 6ish and it still doesn't work. I'm rite about to do it again, when Will and Ray get it to work...apparently the secret is to push all the freakin way down. That's bull! Finally I start workin on the main FSM...oh man. It's gonna be a bitch.

10/23/01 7:00 pm - 3:00 am. 8 hours. Looks like crunch time is coming. I spent 5 hours wirewrapping tonite. I did it all neat too. Guess what? After allll that time. It don't work...WTF is that? I was so pissed when I finished and it didn't work...damn. I don't wanna redo all that.

10/22/01 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, 10:00 pm - 12:00 am. 4 hours today. Went to lab and was gonna wirewrap, but I overhead that Head TA Mike made some mistakes and to hold off wirewrapping...I was like...ok. Just worked on some FSM then went to small group. After small group, we talked about the FSM for check point 2 some. Also seemed like Mike gave us more than IO block. He gave us sample code for a cd-rom that plays and stops =) That was his way of saying sorrie for making us rewirewrap...well those that already wirewrapped hehe. Wung and I went to Cory to check out that ish. Not too bad today.

10/19/01 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Only 4 hours today. We worked on it to get the 2nd extra credit. I finally got it at 5:30 pm and I was about to get it checked off. So I put the project into my folder...except Xilinx fucks up and deletes the project!!! I had to grab an older version from Wung's folder and reimplement it all!!!! XILINX IS STOOOPID!!! So I finally got it checked off and ended up late leaving for Nina's party...gah! Proj 2 also starts...whoo hoo!

10/18/01 3:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Only 6.5 hrs today. I would have stayed later but my partner told me to rest some. I finally went home and got some sleep. I woke up at 2:30 am ready to go back...but he told my girlfriend to tell me to sleep more. Will actually stayed till 7:30 am the next day and got it working and did 1 extra credit. Thanx Wung...You're truly hardcore. So I guess that means...I stayed up for 36 hours straight. Not bad.

10/17/01 - 10/18/01 5:00 pm - 8:45 am. 16.25 hours in lab straight. Actually I haven't even slept yet...so...No official stats on how long I've been up...but at least 36 hrs straight so far. I was away from home from 10:00 am yesterday till 4:00 pm today. I need a shower...ug. Wung was in lab for 22 hrs straight. He's a BEAST! So we worked with the other boyz, and we were all there till at least 6:00 am. I was thinking that it's been a while since a project came and pulverized my ass. After spending most of the nite on the LCD FSM Wung and I decided to scrap it. It was too fucking complicated. We're goin ghetto style. 16 Flip-Flops baby! Hellz yea! Back to lab after I shower...more updates...keep watching.

10/15/01 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, 4:00pm - 2:00 am. 11 hours...Skipped 1 hr of work and econ discussion to wirewrap. I spent the last of my money...I had to use freakin use 1/2 change to buy the wirewrap. I went to Davis to start wrapping...no fuckin wirecutters. So I'm sitting there trying to cut with the wirewrapper and smashing/cutting it with my keys. It was ghetto. Finally I scrounged around and found scissors in a cabinet that was left open...*yoink* I'm using that shit. Ok so do that for an hour...go to ee120...fear midterm...back to lab. Finally got the wirewrap done b/c it works with the test file. Ok now to logic...shit...how the fuck. But Ray and I work on it and I think maybe we got it...we'll see. Met up with Sean doin EE122 in Soda and grabbed dinner, mmm. We finally decide to go at 2 and Rich is nice enuff to give us rides home. Thanks Rich. I leave the car admist "We're goin Hardcore tomorra!" and "When we coming back tomorra?" ahh yes. The Hardcore EECS in us has been awakened =D

10/12/01 Well today we get our Xilinx boards, lcd display, and keyboard. Damn 200 dollar deposit. Ah well. Check off one next week...here we go.

10/08/01 Last lab before project. Seemed pretty easy you kno. Just some ee40 shit. Guess what? It was just like fuckin ee40...Broken chips that we had to switch. Not enuff components for everyone to use. Fucking broken ribbon pins. My partner and I are trying to get this waveform from the pin and it looks like shit. The TA's dunno what's up. My partner finally just changes the pins and *boom* it comes out beautiful square wave...there goes 1 hr. Absurd.

10/02/01 Well...I found out about my CS midterm today...mode of 50. Mean of 54...I got 57 bleh...no where near the 70 I was aiming for...this sux

10/01/01 This lab sucked! It took almost the whole time to finish. The good thing was that our TA gave us the extra 5% extra credit thing. So I got that b/c I finished during the lab period whew...man...I can imagine the project now...

9/27/01 Midterm 1 of 3. SUCKED ASS. If you're read the new update on the main page you know my feelings. I barely finished the fuckin test with 1.5 hrs. They wanted to make it a 1 hr test! Absurd! We'll see how things settle when they release the test scores and such...

9/24/01 Still no problems. We finished up in 2 hours. Plenty of time to get to Small Group! Yay!

9/17/01 Ok So far everything goin ok. Another 2 hours in lab and everything pretty much went...well. We had a lil trouble in the beginnin but it was reallie ok. Yay! I gotta start earlier tho if I wanna make Will's small group =D

9/10/01 First real lab today =) I went in going...oh shit. I read the lab before hand and understood NOTHING! Luckily as I did the lab it kinda made sense what I was supposed to do. Not too many problems and finished in 2.5 hrs =) Yay!
