News Archive August 2003 8.10.03 Nice Weekend =) This weekend was pretty damn good. I don't think I've had such a nice weekend in a whiles now. Friday I got my official offer. Saturday I woke up early with nothing to do. Then I went and got Dim Sum in Oakland, chilled at the Botanical Garden in Tilden, then went running for about 2.5 miles =) I haven't gone running in a loooong time >< At nite I was supposed to go clubbin, but I didn't go since I was pretty tired and actually told Kai I'd go to his party. Very chill day =) Sunday, ah didn't do much. Did some work for PayPal, saw Tomb Raider with Kai, then headed off to Will's new pad to chill celebrate Slut's return and departure =) As usual Will the food rocked! It was a fun BBQ. Made fun of Nelson and Mark...those two almost kissed! Pilan beat up a lil kid on a bike and scared him away haha. Mark as usual got plastered, so I followed Joyce and Mark to Mark's place. We dropped off Mark's car at his place then I dropped Joyce off at home...hehe good day =) Tired now...nite ^_^ 8.8.03 Thank GOD!!! SO.....I GOT A JOB!!!! PayPal gave me the official offer letter today =D I'm gonna be startin fulltime on Monday hehe =) I'm so happy! Thanks to everyone, my friends and family who've been praying, supportin, and lookin out for me. I love you guys =) I dunno how I can explain this feeling to you all...it's more than 1 burden that's been lifted off my chest... 8.6.03 Sigh... So...today was interesting. I may get offered a fulltime position at PayPal =) Thas the good news. I spoke with about 6 ppl yesterday semi interviewing for the position. It was reallie chill =) Today I was sent paperwork to officially apply for the positon so it's lookin good...on the flip side of today...yea I'll just say that sometimes I don't notice what I'm doing. While what I say can be taken in a friendly poking way sometimes it isn't taken that way and I should realize it. Cause if I don't I may end up doing something that I can't take back no matter how many times I say I'm sorry...sigh...perhaps finding out will be personal punishment enuff...I reallie messed it up this time and gah...it sux... 8.3.03 Weekend Work 2 and Steph's Bday Aftermath! So I was supposed to go to werk at 10ish...I woke up at 10:30, then drove to werk not feelin 100%...Forgot my keycard so I had to call my boss to send someone down. Needless to say...it was a slow day. Lunch was Chili's so that helped a bit. Ended up leavin early cause boss said to just go after we finish whatever we were werkin on =) 8.2.03 Weekend Work and Steph's Bday! So Imma werk over the weekend this week. Apparently they needed some extra help and asked us interns to help out. Of course it's OT pay yay =D So I couldn't turn it down...esp if Imma be wanting fulltime werk rite? So eh the day was okie. Had Amici's for lunch =) Talked to a release engineer. It looks like I might have a chance to get into that group =) Left werk at 4ish and went to Will's BBQ at his new crib. OMG that place is sooo fuckin nice >< I meant to take pics but I forgot my camera...next time I will show you all. Sooo nice. After Will's thing I went to the city for Steph's Bday =) Happy birthday Steph!!! She's finally 21 =) I ended up takin Stan and some alky for prepartyin =) We had dinner at Houston's...OMG...Stan and I were late so we were at our own table and there were supposed to be 2 more of Steph's friends that didn't show...soo...it was just Stan and me. Everyone made too big a deal out of it =P Tho it was funnie. I got seared tuna...reallie good, but not reallie a dinner...I was still hungry. The club was kewl...it was Shanghai 1920 I think. I swear by day it's a restaurant. We ended up drinkin a lot of our prepartying stash and I bought a round for Steph's bday...man alky in the bars are expensive =) Oh wellz 21st Bday =) I don't reallie remember the drive home...but I remember crashing at Stan's place. Thanx for lettin me crash there man, I appreciate it. |
