News Archive August 2001 8.28.01 BLAH!!!! I HATE SKEWL! Wow so anyways...skewl sux. My EE120 is reallie boring. The room is hot and unventilated. People are passing out in the room...AND it's a 2 hr lecture! BA 120...doesn't look good. I might get dropped...E190 prolly gonna get dropped even tho I'm freakin number 1 on waitlist...absurd So much angst. 8.27.01 More Skewl! So anywayz, today is a pretty long day. starts at 12:30 and goes till 7. Oh wait...my 5:30-7 class doesn't have a class number. I check my schedule online and it says TBA...so I'm like ok. I go home and lo and behold there's an email sayin tellin me the class starts today and is in so and so room! Thanx for the warning! Sigh...went to Naree's dorm and walked one of the trails in the hills there. Crazy view and ish. Pretty nice cept for the bugs up there. Dropped CS 186...I don't want 3 hard tech classes 2 is enuff. Signed up for Econ 100b...come on I need something or I'll be under UNITS!! 8.27.01 Wow Skewl has started! Well the first day was ok. 2 of my classes were cancelled b/c of nothing to do. Hehe classes seem to be a bit overfilled though. Hope I get what I need ^_^ 8.26.01 Back in Berk Well went home for 10 days. Good stuff =) Ate with friends, went clubbin, slept a WHOLE LOT hehe. Gah back in Berkeley to start a new semester and new year and already it sux. Spent 300 dollars for 3 classes and still need to get books for 1 more class. Sigh the agony of it all. Good news is financial aid came through and gave me my refund check whoo hoo! well I'm off to enjoy my last day before hell starts. I suppose the CS Hell Section will be seeing updates soon enuff =� 8.15.01 Econ Final Finally Econ final is finally here. It marks the end of goin to skewl and work...at least for 10 more days =� The test was a long ass test. I'm surprised the stapler didn't die. But it's over and I'm going to go home and relax for a bit. Peace out-side! 8.12.01 Naree's Back! Naree's finally back from Ohio. Had to drive to SFO to get her =� Did the flower and wait for her thing. We ate at Koryo Sushi Bar afterwards...mmm such goodness =) 8.11.01 Belt Test time! Geez...belt tests are long events. It's summer time so there are fewer people testing but somehow we still get out at 5...hehe I've been there since 10:30 am so we're talkin...6.5 hrs. Most of which is watchin other peepz test. My test went ok. I think the Green belt is mine. Watchin the blackbelt test for 2nd Dan was kewl tho =) Naree comes home tomorra =D 8.9.01 Bye Bye Naree Naree is off to a secular society conference thing in Ohio =� Sooo no belt test for her. Go watch it ^_^ 8.4.01 Meet the Parents Part II...also Redrum Burger Drove back to Berk from Sac today. Dropped by Davis for some famous Murder Burger. Hehe ok all you Davis-ites it isn't THAT great. Good fries and shake tho. hehe sorrie Lisa, I tried to tell you I was in the area, but you weren't online dammit =� Went to a concert with Naree's parents in SF that nite too. We saw Cowboy Junkies at the Warfield. Lots of strip joints around the Warfield incase you want something to do afterwards. =) 8.3.01 White Water Raft Adventure and Meet the Parents! Well today I went White Water Raftin with Sunaree and the firm she works for, Friedman Associates. Very fun except for the waking up at 6 am part hehe. On the bus ride to the launch place for the rafts Naree and I sat near this one random guy from another company...he kept talkin and talkin. Some dude from Montana =� Once we got into the River it was kewl. Took some rapids and got to swim around in some of the calmer parts of the river =) My shoes got all wet...squishy sock syndrome...yuck. Hehe at least no one fell into the water =� Had fun water fights with some of the other rafts in the group too. Our guide for the boat was a Random Guy from Costa Rica...he apparently has an affinity for monkey's and apes. He kept talkin about Planet of the Apes hehe okee....okee...Ape man, hehe reallie tho he was kewl. Dinner was at Sudwerk's in Davis. VERY GOOD Crusted Herb Salmon. Yum yum. I'd say if you want prime rib stick with Claim Jumper. For all you Nor Cal peepz go to Claim Jumper. It's SO DAMN GOOD! Stayed over at Naree's place that nite and met her parents for the first time. They seem nice enuff. Her mom is a typical Asian Mom. Very motiviated to achieve. =) Ah well it was a good fun day =) Next up Skydivin ^_^ 8.2.01 Chevy's Chile Relleno Well I tried something new at Chevy's today. Chile Relleno. Let me tell you not to get it. It's just a huge bell pepper with a bread type crust that's stuffed with cheese. It doesn't have much of a taste either. So bland, bad for your health...never again. 8.1.01 Planet of the Apes I found out I can go White Water Rafting with Naree and her company for free this Friday...TIITE! Hehe anywayz, that's for later. Onto the real topic...Planet of the Apes. eh...is all I have to say. |
