The WANMER name is rare in the UK today but was concentrated in Kent in the early - mid 1800's. WANMER descendants immigrated to the USA and Australia. Historically, mentions of the name can be found in the UK as least as far back as the late 1500's and early 1600's.
There are many spellings found of this name in records, made more difficult by the fact that some of these mis-spellings are legitimate surnames belonging to unrelated families. A separate page for spelling variations lists those found to date.
