Meisner scores with clips for The Dears and Buck 65
For immediate release: Toronto, ON – April 30, 2001 - Director/Editor Micah J. Meisner adds two videos in play at MuchMusic. Buck65’s video for the first single from Man Overboard, "Pants on Fire" debuted on MuchEast, and his clip for Montreal buzz band The Dears "End Of A Hollywood Bedtime Story" has been added to rotation at MuchMusic.
"Pants On Fire" is a paranoid trek through the streets of Toronto with Buck 65’s Richard Terfry playing the role of a taxi driver on the edge of madness. Funded by VideoFACT, the piece is constructed from different sized picture boxes combined in the same frame. What makes this collage visually unique is the fragmenting of full-frame pictures in a style reminiscent of the paintings of Piette Mondrian. For The Dears "End Of A Hollywood Bedtime Story", Micah layers images of the dynamic vocalist and the other members of this 6-piece band wandering through Montreal's night scapes.
Signed to Sundog in May 2000, Micah blends a skewed worldview with a steady hand on the creative tiller to produce stirring images. His credits include an epk for the award winning band Len, as well as music videos for The Deadly Snakes, Go Animal, and Sunny Moon.
