Oz Media springs into summer with new offices and other hot news!
Toronto, ON – June 22, 2001 - Maybe it's the warm weather or the longer daylight hours, but everything in Oz is blooming! Palm pilots everywhere are heating up with this important change of address as President and Executive Producer Trisha McKell moves operations to a bigger sandbox and invites some new friends in to play at 33 Fraser Ave. Oz Media, Canada’s hottest music video production company, has teamed up with feature and television distributor Oasis International to form the Oz Media Group of Companies. Added to the mix is Oz Commercial, Oz TV & Feature, and Plan B (post production facilities). Oz is now the only production company in Canada to be affiliated with a distribution company, and each division of the group has been created to allow Oz’s roster of directors to blossom in all facets of film and media.
The buzz on this new alliance will heat up with a feature story in the July 2001 issue of Playback Magazine which highlights the new commercial division at Oz, and it’s partnership with Oasis. Adding to the whirlwind, Director/DOP Micha Dahan (a new father himself) has given birth to three notably acclaimed music videos at MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic; Staggered Crossing for "A Million Works Of Art", David Usher for "Alone In The Universe", and Our Lady Peace for "Life".
