Did you know that there is an uncomplicated and inexpensive way to make money licensing your recorded music for soundtrack use? Realia Music is an online music licensing agency - they act as an Agent (and not an Owner) and you do not sign over your publishing rights to anyone. They offer flat rate fees to people who need music for their various projects, and all that you have to do is send Realia your music on mastered CD to upload to their online database.
Indie music is in demand because it is affordable and unique, and Realia has made it incredibly easy to cut through all the complex legal and payment stuff. From their website, your music will be marketed to "indie-visualists" - filmmakers, TV commercial producers, editors, directors, music supervisors, video game developers, post-production houses and more. Using their credit card and project name, these folks simply log in, browse the mp3's, download the music for temp soundtrack use and Realia sends them a digital copy for the final sound mix. Artists pay a one time membership fee of $5.00 and then $1 per song uploaded to Realia Music (see #5 on the Application). You can send in as many songs as you like.
