Kurohige the Invulnerable is one of the Marid's favourite humans. Kurohige is a nautical swashbuckler, but not quite a pirate: he has never killed anyone who posed no threat to him. Not yet, anyway.
[AD&D-Specific] Kurohige the Invulnerable, human male, Str 16 Dex 16 Con 13 Int 15 Wis 15 Cha 15 Align CN Hp 950. Fighter, level 19.
The 950 hit points is not a misprint. It is a gift from the Marid, a thank you present for all the people who have drowned at sea as a result of Kurohige's efforts. It is what makes him "the Invulnerable". Kurohige continues to rise in level, and each time he does, he gets another 30 hp.
Kurohige regenerates 1 hp per round whenever he is sufficiently close to a large body of water (on the shores of a lake, within one mile of the sea, and within one league of the ocean are all sufficiently close).
Kurohige always wears blue or green clothing, never red or yellow.
Kit: swashbuckler. Traits: ambidexterity, glibness.
Kurohige does not wear armour and does not carry a shield.
Kurohige carries a +4 katana and a +3 wakizashi, which he uses ambidextrously. He has an amulet which protects him from amputation and decapitation. In addition, he has a wide selection of miscellaneous magical items, taken from various treasure ships he has plundered.
If Kurohige ever drowns at sea, he will be instantly reincarnated on the shores of a sea or ocean somewhere in the Fifty Worlds.
Kurohige is an extreme answer to player characters whose first reaction to anything is melee combat.
Kurohige would normally be found somewhere in the vicinity of Rajeya, but can show up anywhere where there are player characters who hack away at everything they meet.
