No fantasy campaign is complete without amazons.
Unfortunately, the amazons of legend are boring. Except for the fact of being female, they were no different from any other warrior band.
The amazons of fantasy are much more fun. Essentially, they are bikini babes with attitude.
Fantasy amazons always have the allure trait and (given the way they dress) inherent immunity to cold.
The amazon tribe in the Fifty Worlds used to be located on a world which will not be appearing in phase one. But, as no fantasy campaign is complete without amazons, I have relocated them to Jattny on the world of Va.
But the five NPC amazons you are most likely to encounter have left the tribe. These five didn't fancy the warrior lifestyle and left their native warrior culture to study specialist magic at the Institutes of Atlantis.
The stereotype against which they are rebelling is outlined here. Like the rest of their tribe, they have the mindlink psionic wild talent, and all five have the exceptional amazon ability to shape-change as a doppleganger does.
Although they are graduates of various of the Atlantean Institutes, Namurxynne, Draxirda, Nympha, Pygmalia and Adzumma are adventuring wizards, not academic researchers. They are more likely to be found in Omnatia or Xenby, where they can put their adventuring talents to good use, than in Atlantis.
Namurxynne, a blonde when in her natural form, is a graduate of the Institute of Enchantment. She was a pupil of Genesse Stapo when Genesse was a researcher and the head of the Institute was Bzaran the Genocide.

The campaign function of the five amazons is to add glamour and sex-appeal. Amazons are good box-office.
The shape-change talent and mindlink psionic wild talent are there to give the player characters the creeps. Just what is it that they are dealing with here?
