DEDICATION
I dedicate this website to the memory of Rodelo Manaog and Marivic Mendoza who died
while serving the Lord's people. Marivic was my contemporary in the
UP Diliman Student Catholic Action in 1975-1976 (I was also a member of the
"protestant" UP Diliman Christian Youth Movement '75-'76) while Rodelo was my contemporary
in the Philippine Science High School, 1973-1975. A fighter for democracy at 13 years old,
Rodelo was a devout Christian even with his unconventional views. I also dedicate this website
to the high school and college students who are full of vision and idealism in a similar way
that we were during the 1970s and the 1980s. This website, however, serves all students,
all development agencies, all people's organizations, and communities even as there is an
attempt to contribute to theory in economics and development. Hopefully, this website
can also assist my former students.
Psalm 103:1-14
Praise the Lord, O my Soul;
all my inmost being, praise His holy name,
Praise the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all His benefits-
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses,
His deeds to the people of Israel.
The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse,
nor will He harbor his anger forever;
He does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is His love for those who fear Him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
for He knows how we are formed,
He remembers that we are dust.
May I thank my PSHS batchmate, Joselito Sibayan,
and PSHS schoolmate, Carlo Arcilla, and their families for providing
assistance that allowed me to help others.
The assistance will be paid in due time, of course.
Thanks!
