About Baoni's Murals

This has been committed to the belief that the artist has an important contribution in the planning of an architecture. This seams to be complementary- that architecture is enriched by art and so art gains something from its architectural settings.

An architecture becomes a work of art, when all its forms, measurements, proportion, technical skills and materials encounter with the expressions of an artist's inner beingness. The real integration of a mural, as I think is possible only when it has been worked out further on a wall, court or room with the same inner self of the artist and thus the co-ordination of both the elements (the artist and the Architecture) make an architecture of a harmonious entity.

When I have to work for an architectural setting, I try to link up my designs in relation to the architecture and its surroundings. To me execution of a mural means execution in such an articulated wider space, in which persons live and act. So I have to organise a design which is appropriate in the surroundings of a building.

Keeping such elements in mind, I search out the most suitable media to relate with. That may be clay (baked) terracotta, sand cast, Glass mosaic and Stained Glass. Experimenting with Frescoes in different techniques, is an interesting part of it. I hope these media, in some measure, will stimulate the general public to become aware of the values of aesthetics in every day life.
