Introduction
Born
In
a classical upper middle class family where my parents and grand parents
have close affinity with arts, literature and tradition, me and my sister
became intensely attracted to music and arts since childhood. My sister
let herself engage in musical notes whereas my
ambition seemed to drag me into the world of colors and mountainscapes.
Since my school days, painting has always
been my favourite subject where prizes and awards encouraged my
innocent child heart.
During my post graduation in Fine arts (painting) I found myself interested
and inquisitive about Varanasi and its antiquity. Being an artist, my
attachment for art and artists of varanasi converged me to come about
with this web-site. Me and my brother Chetan Agrawal who is a graduate
engineer, developed and designed this site. Brother Stuti Kumar Agrawal,
doing MBA, handles Marketing Management of this site.
Mission
artsvaranasi aims to
foster and encourage interests and activities in the fields of art and
its allied disciplines, as well as to highlight the expressions of the
artists for a world wide public viewing and to preserve it for the posterity.
We
are committed to enlightening our viewers about Varanasi:
its antiquity and historical significance. Historical
background of art in Varanasi and views
of some great artists on art in general and artists
who have graced this ancient city. We are also working
on commercial principles for the art lovers world over. We firmly believe
that the best consumer is above all a knowledgeable one.

small selection represents the essence of contemporary art ambience of
