Welcome to my home page on the web. I'm a Computer Science and Engineering student in R.V. College Bangalore and soon to be Software Engineer. I belong to a Jiaganj, a small town in Murshidadad, West Bengal. Done my schooling from Daly College, Indore, MP.

Projects

  • myVoice [June 2004]
    A speech recognition software with an artificial neural network engine. Done on Linux using Qt3 Designer and Octave. Get the report (PDF).


  • myTunes Music Store [June 2004]
    A database driven webbased media management system with support for multiple user and administrator logins. Media files can be rated by users. Done using Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP with HTML Forms.


  • Embeded Linux and Robotics [Feb 2004]
    Porting Linux on ARM 920T based VCMA9 board and porting a DSP application on to the target platform. This project was done at Systemantics India


  • PVM-Pov [November 2003]
    Rendered POV-Ray Images parallely on a PVM cluster. The PVM patch for POV-Ray PVMPOV was used. The seven node Cluster rendered the POV-Ray 3.0 benchmark SkyVase (resolution 1024 x 768) in 14 seconds.


  • MatMul [July 2003]
    This Matrix Multiplication program multiplies two m x m square matrices distributedly on a PVM cluster and returns the result. The distributed approach was implemented using Fox’s Algorithm.


  • MyEd [October 2003]
    A full screen text editor written using the Qt library for GNU/Linux platform. A very 'lightweight' editor with syntax highlighting for C/C++ files, auto-completion, auto indentation, spell check, print support and in-built terminal window.

  • Hindi Editor [February 2001]
    A Hindi text editor developed using Turbo C++ IDE. This editor is a full mouse controlled GUI in graphics mode. The hindi font was incorporated by creating bitmaps for every letter. Font resizing is possible. Too much for a 11th standard student ?! ;-)

  • 'Crossworking' using Wine and Cygwin
    (Demonstrated running applications like Visual Studio 6.0, MS Office 2000, etc under linux)
    This talk addressed issues like migrating and porting application from one platform to the other.
