The 2nd Battalion, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders ("Princess Louise's") is an authentic, recreated unit from the Great War (WWI) period, 1914 -1918, based in the Pacific Northwest near the US/Canadian border.
The purpose of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders is to present an accurate representation of what the life of the WWI era Jock was like and to recreate the events of the period at historical battle reenactments, living history demonstrations & Highland games, and in so doing pay tribute to & honour the memories of these valiant Highland soldiers who fought with such ferocity and bravery at the Battle of the Somme & throughout the entire Great War, that history remembers them as "The Ladies From Hell"!
