When Myrrh roused it was to bright sunlight and the insistant chirping of a familiar tone. Blinking the obnoxious light out of his eyes Myrrh ripped his hood up and shielded his eyes before examining his surroundings. It didn't take long for him to realize he was no longer in Skelos, let alone anywhere in Aesthrae.

Breathing a heavy sigh of disatisfaction he gently scratched Analent's triangular head. At very least the estranged man from the ruins was no where to be seen and Analent seemed in fine condition.

"All right An, let's find out where we are shall we?"

With an affirmative chirp from Analent the pair headed off toward the nearby mountain. How on earth he had gotten to such a place he'd never know, but he didn't have much time to debate it for within a few moments a pair of Hyena halflings called out to him.

"Hey! Are you here for the dragon bonding? You'll be late, come on!"

Analent chirped happily. Dragon bonding? That meant he'd get a companion that'd listen to him while Myrrh zoned off into his music filled technology. When Myrrh only stared at the furry with an incredulous look, slightly dazed from the bright sunlight flooding the vampire quarter-ling, Analent nipped his companions ear sharply.

"Aye...All right, I'll do it. Where's this bonding taking place?"

The pair seemed to realize they had minor mistake with their assumtion. "You're not here for the bonding?"

Myrrh 'hmphed' and shrugged. "Seems I am now, if I leave without trying Analent will be in a tizzy for weeks."

The brothers glanced at each other then hefted a shrug and motioned for Myrrh to follow. Without speaking he followed the strange halflings to the peak of the mountain, Analent whistling happily all the while.

At the top there was little left to do but wait until the rest of the candidates arrived. Yawning he stretched out on the ground, slipping the headphones back on and attempted to doze off while ignoring the light. For once Analent wasn't pestering him about being ignored and was instead flitting about investigating the other candidates and the dragon eggs, chirping jovially as he did.

It didn't take Myrrh long to become sick of basking in the sun, being part vampire --not to mention being ¾ demon-- could do that too ya. So he decided to go back into the mountain and find out more about the dragon he was now deciding to bond.

Back in his world bonding dragons was a complicated business and it took serious training. Apparently that wasn't so here. Were the dragons less volitle or were dragons back in his homeworld not really all that hard to bond to? No, it didn't really take that much training. Quite a few fools stumbled upon dragon nests and, with propper respect for the being, wound up bonded to a hatchling.

So, it was probably just that dragons accepting humans was a rare occasion. Which Myrrh didn't doubt, it was a task enough getting Analent to accept and obey him, he could only imagine a creature three times his size.

With a chuckle and a heavy sigh he sat down to the task of reading about the E'kaanaath Dragons, the species he'd be bonding to.
