| Section 4 - Strength! |
| If your drive is to be strong; Your values are those of courage, strength and reliability. You are concerned with not appearing vulnerable, so your language tends to be distanced from your feelings. Words like one, you, we and it tend to replace I You tend to be self-sufficient, helpful and reliable. You tend to enjoy tasks which are repetitive and like working on your own. You are extremely stoical in the face of difficulties and will carry on regardless. You are a generous giver, partly as if by doing so you will never have to reveal your own needs. Your stress results from the fear of rejection by being seen as vulnerable, being forced to say what you feel or exposing your weaknesses. Your stress behaviour is that you will become withdrawn, become quieter and quieter and reluctant to communicate. The drivers you have picked up are those of Dont show your feelings, Dont give in, Dont ask for help. Your ways of reducing stress in yourself are: Be aware of and try to express your feelings more often. Learn to take as well as to give, to look after yourself and let others look after you. Look for more ways of working with others. Try and be more aware of your physical needs - listen to what your body is saying to you. Take regular meal breaks and be more willing to take time off when you are feeling under the weather |
