I have over 2 years experience in user experience research, design and implementation for client server & Web based application. Main areas of expertise are user interface design, programming and system development. I have been instrumental in the implementation of complex Web applications including business requirements study, competitive audit, and information visualization and system prototype development.

    Designed recommendation for an application to be used by the Institutional Sales people of the
    Janus. The application enabled self-service of information for the Institutional sales and marketing
    people. The challenge was to create transparency in information flow from the marketing to the
    sales force.
    Accomplishments
    Performed intensive user research of the existing communication process of the sales force and
    delivered an in-depth, multi stage visualization of the communication workflow. This improved the
    efficiency of the internal processes of the clients. Also reduced their client management time
    significantly.
    Project Portfolio Planning and Asset Allocation Tool

    Initiated the analysis and design of a Portfolio Planning Tool for the clients in UK. The users set
    for the tool were direct customers, Wholesale (customers with IFA) and Individual Financial
    Adviser (IFA). The challenge in the project was to make the tool easy to use for the direct
    customers as well as incorporate fast paced process flow for the IFAs.
    Accomplishments
  • Worked closely with the clients to identify and resolve the user type related issues.
  • The primary business objective was to increase the trade of funds on existing funds network of
          the clients. Translated the objective in the design direction of the tool. The tool generated a
          steady growth in the funds network business.
  • Project A Network Academy Management System

    Involved in the design and implementation phases of the upcoming Networking Academy Application.
    The primary goal of the client's World Wide Education initiative is to become Leader in E-Learning
    and provide quality online education. The application is exceptionally vast. So a flawless design was
    essential for a successful implementation phase.
    Accomplishments
  • Developed a design review process for the application, so that the business values identified
         during the design of the tool are implemented according to the guidelines.
  • Worked as a part of 6-person team in the identification, design and implementation of various
         modules of the site.
  • Project Registration Process Research
    Client Opodo-Nine Europe's Leading Airlines

    I was involved in a Registration Process Research in which we prepared a set of recommendation to
    modify the registration process of Opodo. The recommendations were accompanied by a competitive
    audit of registration process of Opodo's top competitors. I did extensive study of existing registration
    process, types of information displayed and information categorization to write the recommendation.
    The market trends and user needs were also used as inputs.
    Accomplishments
  • The executive committee of Opodo found the recommendations useful and directed to refresh the
         existing registration functionality based on the recommendation.
  • Based on the research results modifications were made in the design and functionality of the
         existing site. Due to the enhancement, Opodo got a higher usability rating than its earlier versions.

    Project Unforced Capacity(UCAP) Auction Management System
    Client New York ISO (NYISO)
    Technologies/Tools User Profile & Scenario Development, Information Diagrams and Prototyping Design

    Unforced Capacity plays a crucial role in the New York energy marketplace. NYISO's existing process
    for administering UCAP procedures, however, is time consuming and largely manual; it relies heavily
    on excel spreadsheets and emails. As a result, the NYISO is exploring alternatives for automating the
    process for UCAP planning, procurement, and billing.
    Accomplishments
    I was involved in preparing the proposal for this project initiative. The key sections for which I was responsible were:-
  • Creating a user scenario based mock prototype of the application
  • Creating the information diagrams in the proposal
  • Creating future business process flow of the whole system
  • I was working on the above under the guidance of a Director of Technology in Sapient Cambridge.

    Project Restructuring of Historic Core (Charminar, Walled City-Hyderabad)

    The Tourism department had taken an initiative to restore the Walled city of Hyderabad and the famous
    Charminar monument. Involved in identifying the areas, which need restoration and propose solution in
    those areas. The most challenging part of the project was to restoration proposal for Charminar. The
    proposal should have least impact in the lifestyle of the residents of the walled city.
    Accomplishments
  • The proposal improvised the manageability of tourist flow in the city as well as addressed the
         concerns of the local residents.
  • It showed 5% increase in the revenue earnings of the Tourism Department within a year of its
         implementation.
