Bast in Full Cat Form

A depiction of the goddess Bast in her full cat form. A national deity of ancient Egypt, Bast was a kind and loving goddess, protecting man from contagious disease and evil spirits. Her festivals were light hearted and full of joy. This statue is made of cold cast resin and hand painted. It stands 5 1/2" high.

Khnum

Creator of both the gods and man, Khnum is closely associated with the flooding of the Nile river. His wife was the goddess Satet. Khnum created man on a potters wheel from the mud of the Nile. He was self conceived, and fathered Anuket. This statue is of a cold cast resin & hand painted. It stands 16 1/2" high.

Horus, Osiris, and Isis

Horus, was the son of Osiris, god of the underworld, and Isis, the most venerated goddess of Egypt. This triad was the one most widespread through Egypt. Horus would go on to father four sons with Isis, whom are greatly associated with the Canopic Jars, which held the organs after mummification. This statue is cold cast resin & hand painted. It stands 8 3/4" high.

Isis, Open-winged

Isis, open winged, and in her full glory. Shown here in her later image, that with horns and disk, Isis was the most venerated goddess in Egypt. She was the mother of Horus the Younger and wife and sister of Osiris. Considered the be the greatest magician of all time, Isis' accomplishments include bringing Osiris back to life and helping him become a god in the underworld and forcing the god Ra to reveal his secret name to her. She is associated with motherhood, marital devotion and healing the sick. The statue is of cold cast resin & hand painted. She is 9" high, with a wingspan of 13".

Seth

Cult Center: Ombos. Early in Egyptian history, Seth is spoken of in terms of reverence as the god of wind and storms. He was even known as the Lord of Upper Egypt. Horus being the Lord of Lower Egypt. It was Seth who stood in the front of the solar barque to defended the sun god Ra from his most dangerous foe, the serpent Apep. At this time, he seems to have had no conflicts with the cults of Isis or Osiris. In fact, he was part of the same family of gods, and married to his twin sister, Nephthys. . . . . .However, it appears the followers of Seth may have resisted the followers of Horus and the First Dynasty pharaoh, Menes, when he united Upper and Lower Egypt. This struggle for control of Egypt seems to be reflected in the mythology. At this point, Seth is portrayed as questioning the authority of his brother, Osiris. The Osiris cults took this opportunity to discredit the followers of Seth; he was now considered to be Osiris' evil brother. And the story was told that Seth was evil since birth, because he ripped himself from his mother's womb by tearing through her side. In the Osiris legends, it is Seth who tricks and murders Osiris. He is also the antagonist of Horus. By the Twenty-sixth Dynasty, Seth was the embodiment of evil. He was depicted with red eyes and hair. The ancient Egyptians beleived red represented evil. 8 3/4"high.

Sekhmet

Sekhmet was the lioness headed goddess who was the dark reverse of the goddess Hathor. She was a goddess of war whom almost wiped out the human race, running rampant until Ra tricked her with beer the color of human blood. Also a sun goddess, she represented its destructive force, and defended the divine order. This statue is of a cold cast resin & hand painted. It stands 9 1/4" high.

Mentu

The falcon headed god of war, Mentu, was a little known god, but still regarded by some as the protector of Egypt and it's monarchs. Pharaohs would occasionally compare themselves to Mentu, especially while in battle. Mentu is also associated with the sun, and is sometimes combined with Ra to form Mentu-Ra. This statue is cold cast resin & hand painted. It is 8 3/4" high.

Criosphinx

The Criosphinx was a sphinx with the body of a lion, but the head of a ram, as opposed to a man. Each Criosphinx protected a pharaoh, held between it's forelegs. This statue is made of cold cast resin and hand painted. It is 5 1/2" high and 9 1/2" long.

Isis and Horus

A lovely statue of Isis, and her child, Horus the Younger. The offspring of Isis and her brother Osiris, Horus the Younger is sometimes considered the his father's reborn self. Made of cold cast resin & hand painted, this statue measures 9 1/4" high.
