Ibis Headed Thoth

Thoth the ibis headed was the Egyptian god of wisdom and writing. Thoth conceived himself at the beginning of time, and was the scribe to the gods and husband of Ma'at. He recorded the results of the weighing of a spirits heart against the feather of Ma'at. He is also credited with the invention of astronomy, geometry and medicine. This statue is made of cold cast resin & hand painted. It stands 7 1/4" high.

Isis

Isis is considered to be the best representation of the goddess in the history of man. Worshipped throughout ancient Egypt, she gradually took on the attributes and functions of all the other important goddesses. She was the mother of Horus the Younger and wife of Osiris, who was also her brother. Considered to be the greatest magician in the universe, Isis forced the god Ra to reveal his secret name to her, resurrected her husband Osiris after his dismemberment by Set, and protected the son of Horus the Younger Amset. Her functions also included those of motherhood, healing the sick and marital devotion. She is depicted here with the disk & horns she absorbed from Hathor. The statue is made of cold cast resin & hand painted. She stands 17" high.

Horus

A depiction of Horus the Elder, the falcon headed sky god from pre-dynastic Egypt. Brother of Osiris, Isis, Set & Nephthys, he feuded with Set much the same as Osiris and Horus the Younger did. He represents the struggle between light and fertility and darkness and death, as does the younger Horus. This statue is of cold cast resin & hand painted. It stands an impressive 16"high.

Serket

Serket is a protector Goddess for humans and the world order. She guards the jar that contains the mummified internal organs of the dead with Neith, Aishat and Nephtys. Serket is also one of the protectors of the four sources of the Nile river. She is positive in most of her attitudes, As a scorpion, she protects people from venom but can also sting if the occasion arises. This attitude of peace with an ability to attack characterizes people under her sign. Cold cast resin Hand painted 8"high.

Ma'at Kneeling

Ma'at was the Egyptian goddess of law, truth, justice and the divine order. The daughter of Ra and the wife of Thoth, Ma'at played an important role in the judged of spirits. Their hearts were weighed against of of her red feathers. Ma'at also stood for the natural order of the universe, opposing any artificial rules. The statue is made of a cold cast resin & hand painted. It's stands 8 1/2" high and has a wingspan of 9".

Anubis

Anubis was a jackal headed god of the Egyptian underworld. His duties included conducting the souls of the dead to the underworld and the weighing of their hearts. The son of Osiris and Nephthys, he is credited with inventing the art of embalming. Made of cold cast resin & hand painted, this statue is perfect for any collection. 9" high.

Anubis - large

Our largest statue of Anubis, standing at 15 1/2" high, this piece depicts the god of the underworld in his full regalia and glory. The inventor of embalming, and the leader of souls to the underworld, Anubis is one of the most famous & noticeable gods of the Egyptian pantheon. Depicted here in his incarnation as a jackal headed man, he holds a removable staff. Sobek

He who causes to be fertile. Cult Center: Crocodilopolis in the Faiyum, after the Twelfth Dynasty he was worshipped everywhere with cult centers at Kom Ombo, Thebes and at Lake Moeris. Attributes: Admired and feared for his ferocity. At the command of Ra, He performed tasks such as catching with a net the four sons of Horus as they emerged from the waters in a lotus bloom. Sometimes identified with Seth when Seth took the form of a crocodile. It is said that in the Osiris legends, Horus takes the form of a crocodile in order to retrieve the parts of Osiris's body that were cast into the Nile by Seth. Relations: Son of Neith of Sais. Bast

Bast, a cat headed Egyptian goddess representing the positive aspects of the sun, is shown here in her pseudo human form. Her city in Egypt was Bubastis, was home to a huge cat cemetery. Cats were considered sacred in ancient Egypt, loved for the skill in killing snakes, which infested the Nile delta. Bast was the mother of Nefertum, who completed the Memphis Triad. This statue is made of cold cast resin & hand painted. The scepter is removable. She stands 15 1/2" high.
