well, i'm on my way to preston tonight to meet up with sam... it's supposed to be a big biker drink-fest: should be fun - i haven't seen him in about a half a year. plus, he and paul seemed to get along well, and i'm sure they'd both like to get to know one another better. we'll crash there in sam's brother's camper and then finish the drive to knoxville, iowa on saturday for my cousin's wedding.
i've already forewarned paul that this side of my family is "a little bit country" - like marie osmond used to say. he's already met my one cousin, linda - but, she's probably the most 'citiefied' of them all. she and i are more like friends that cousins... i can't wait to see her - and her son! i haven't seen him in years! i'm sure they'll probably have a country band at the wedding - although, paul's the type of person that has fun in every setting... i guess that's one of the things i love most about him.
so, i'm pretty pumped for everybody to meet him. i hardly ever get to see my extended family anymore - and paul and i already decided that if we get married it's going to be a small vegas or justice of the piece type deal - so nobody will be coming to that. it'll be good for them all to at least know who i'm thinking about getting hitched to!
i haven't been down to iowa in a pretty long time, i used to go back at least every two months when i first moved up here, i missed it so bad. most everybody i went down to see is gone now, though. so when i do go, it's for family, or nikki, or sam.
well, i'm gonna end this entry because netscape has already crashed on me 4 times and i'm sick of messing with it!
