well - i got my very fist facial yesterday and it was the most heavenly experience ever....i want to go back and get one every month now. this girl who does them is superb....she's very good at her craft. she's an esthetician, so she doesn't do hair - only skin and nails. i think if i hadn't gone into graphic arts - that's what i would've gone into. it still fascinates me. plus, i can't help but think that this girl has the least stressful job on the planet. she sits in a softly lit room all day with aromatherapy candles burning and meditation music playing while she rubs things into peoples faces as slowly as possible. how could she have stress in her life?
sometimes, i still think that after i've done this for 10 years, and i've paid back my school loans, maybe i'll go back for something like that, just to do part time. plus, i'd love to learn it for myself.
have i mentioned lately how thoughtful paul is? i was jonesing for a mocha but i didn't want to go outside to get one next door because it's raining out - so he went over and got me one. what did i do to get so lucky with him? we've reached this new plateau in our relationship...because in the beginning we couldn't sleep in the same bed....i had trouble falling asleep - because i'm a bed hog and paul sometimes snores, well, suddenly, we're able to do it. i'm not exactly sure why - but it's a really nice feeling to wake up next to him.
i know, i know - enough of the mushy stuff already....it was really hard to get up today... whenever it rains i just want to stay in bed and listen to it..... this rain is a good sign that spring is right around the corner. usually every year we have a week of rain and suddenly everything is green again. it's one of my favorite times of the year.
