my pottery class starts tomorrow night...i'm pretty pumped about it. i hope i can find the place okay - that's about the only thing i'm worried about. i hope it's worth the $85 it costs - that's a lot of money for a community ed class. it includes all the supplies and stuff - i suppose that's what costs so much - and if they have to do any firing and stuff. i hope i can make something cool. i love homemade stuff like that. i used to love clay modeling and such when i was in elemetary and junior high schools. i thought i was pretty good at it too, but this might be different...although, i'm pretty sure we won't be using a wheel - that class was full. i'd like to learn that too someday.
i discovered a couple of good journals yesterday...i went to a webring called often - i liked that idea because i really prefer journalists that update frequently. the whole idea of their webring is that their members update an average of 4 times a week, no less than 200 words/entry. i'd really like to become a member there, but they're not accepting any submissions right now...i have a couple of other journals i read that rarely update and that gets so frustrating. so this was a good place for me to find some i like. one i liked was called love, curiosity, freckles and doubt. she's a bit pretentious, but if you can get past that, her writing's pretty interesting. and i enjoyed her graphics. usually i go to a page and it's so ugly, i can't get past that to check out the writing. i guess that's just me though...most real writers don't care how it looks as long as the writing's quality. the other one i liked was jellyfish absolution...kinda boring in the visual end, but at least it's just simple - not gaudy and ugly...and her writing's very good. eventually i plan to have a links page, but for now, i don't have enough pages that i want to promote. it'll come someday - but i don't want to just throw a bunch of links on there if i don't even like them or read them.
