| After a few hours of practicing, I noticed most of the commonly used letters (mostly abcdefghijlmnoprstuvwy) are a bit like English. To tell the truth, the FFX and FFX-2 series have not used every word in the dictionary in Al Bhed. That means pronunciations can vary even with a pronunciation guide.
