SO, HOW WAS THE SUMMER?
To answer that question.... it was great! Granted, it's not over yet... but so far it was pretty eventful... I got a lot out of it... a job, money, and a film program which earned me 2 units plus solidified my whole ambitions on the filmmaking aspirations!

And the job at Domino's (which I still have, though way fewer hours) is pretty good. I drive around, meet interesting people (like druggies and hookers), and get more money than I deserve (usually). It's rather sweet.

As for people from my fiilm program... I met a whole bunch of crazy mofos who I never even knew existed! Plus, got to see a whole bunch of really good movies (especially at the end, that was the best. Like a mini film festival)... I only wish I got to hang around more and not have to go home or to work.... but eh, whatever.

And then, there were the few trips to NYC to spend time with Gina and Marc and Laura and the rest.... andddddd of course Gina coming up here, which was really spiffy! We spent over a week together; she came to check out my movie "premiere", then we went all over town to fun places like the Drive-In (saw "Johnny English" <-- sucked and "Pirates of the Caribbean" <--- was good)... we also went to the pastel-colored ice cream shop.... then to Fun Central to ride on the bumper  boats!.... videogames.... I went and bought a PlayStation 2.... been tinkering with that ever since....  plus, we  went bowling and ate good Taco Bell food!.. I got a free pizza from Domino's for working overtime unofficially.... hehe...

And then, of course, we went to Six Flags (which was the original intention for this gettogether....)!!! What can I say but Nitro, Kenyan acrobats, Jetski show, rollercoasters, Canadian geese and McNuggets! These were all some fun times!... Superman really really let me down... don't waste too much time on that ride! It's notttt thatttt greeatttttt....

Plus I learned that driving through New Jersey doesn't have to be that bad of a thing.... The Turnpike is actually pretty sweet!... and stopping at rest areas is the funnest thing... If I ever become homeless and fail at everything else, I'm gonna become a truck driver....!!!

THE GREAT SHOPPING SPREE
I've decided to put some of my money to good use... so the other day. I bought a shitload of fun stuff... not that I woke up and said "hey, I wanna buy stuff!"... but it  was actually my mom that had to do some shopping and I'm like "hey wait, I gotta get my hair cut, let's go together".... so we did... and we both got our hairs cut... (how awkward sounding is that!)

And after that, we split up and since I was nagged at by my parents to buy some dress shirts which weren't falling apart, I went to look for some... (otherwise I could never be seen with them at the city aquarium again). What I ended up finding was a sweeeeeet
sonic blue dress shirt, a silk-ish dark blue shirt (with matching tie) and this silver tie! So, you know, it's all good.

Then, it turns out that the South Hills Mall opened up a new dinosaur store! They sold the coolest dinosaur stuff like figurines, posters, books, videos, etc. Apparently, they also host "dinosaur dig" kids parties! Well anyway, I ended up getting the Deinonychus (which probably means "difficult name lizard") figure. Well actually, I think it means "terrible claw" which would refer to the giant sickle-shaped toe claw that is the trademark of the dromaesaurids... (it's an educational toy).

Alright, onward! Ummm... oh yea, since I'm running low on the hair beeswax that I've got, I tried looking around for that and Hot Topic told me that they no longer make them in black! =(.... what the fuckkkkk.... so I went to look in other places and I went to a hair store but all they had there was the same shit for $17... go figure. So I went to the hippie store next door (and of course, if it's weird shit for your hair, they'll have it)... and have it they did. Though this stuff isn't as good as my old shit... it's meant for dreadlocks and it smells like pot or some other shit... but we'll see how well it holds up.

Ummm... then I went to Media Play where they finally had Terminator 3 action figures... (and hey, nevermind how bad that movie was... in my mind, the Terminator is still the Terminator!)... and along with that, I saw the new Tomb Raider action figures and I remembered how I wished I bought one from the first movie when they were still available since they were really well-done... so I bought this one. It's super articulate (which I unfortunately can't say for the Arnold one =(..... egh)

Oh yea, and then I go to FYE and discover that the Total Recall DVD that I've been bidding $10 for on eBay.com (and constantly getting outbid!) is on sale for $7.50! So obviously, I grabbed it. And at the same time, I notice what I thought was only available for XBox: The Dark Angel game for my recently-purchased PS2!!! So I grabbed that too! Then, I turn my head a few degrees to the right, and what do I see? A TERMINATOR game!!! So now I'm seriously salivating.. so I grabbed that t too!!! Luckily, these games were cheap for a PS2: $20 apiece....

But anyway, I ran home and started looking over all these new things I've got. The two James Cameron-related games are really really good! And I'm still playing them! Well, I guess that's about it for the shopping spree!! Meaning... that's it for today's update!

KITTEN?
Could this be? Could it be that after years of me being obsessed with cats (when I was the only 3rd grader boy with a cat binder and folders), I could finally be getting one of my own? Is this true? It does look that way!

The deal is this: The Arlington Street Fair had a little adoption section and it showed some really nice kittens. I think my family decided on one of them which I don't think I've seen but it's described as a black male cat with a white-tipped tail. He sounds pretty damn cute and today, we will find out when we can finally pick him up. There is no name yet, but we'll see what he wants to be called. He's about 10 weeks old, they say.

Well that is really cool news... I haven't had any kind of cat since Snow White (the totally white kitty who wandered into our house at Christmastime a few years back and stayed for a month or two until we gave her to the shelter so the owners could find her again. I don't know if that ever happened. I say if it didn't, we should go back for her and bring her here!) So this will be pretty fun: playing with the cat, videotaping it, etc. I'll have pictures up on the site as soon as I can upload them and possibly a video clip too.

I really don't know what else to say. I'm pretty excited but until we get him, there's not much else to tell. So I'll keep everyone posted when this finally happens.

MADAME LEMUR

That is what I have to call her now... for the next 5 weeks. Even though I know she's technically ALWAYS 5 weeks older than me, but from now until the time we are BOTH 19 (On Novemeber 21), I can refer to her as my elder and... yea.

But anyway! Gina's birthday is actually tomorrow but we had a surprise party yesterday and despite her suspicions, she was nevertheless surprised when everyone threw balloons and yelled as she opened her door when the two of us were going to her room. And then we all had this rainbow-type cake in the parlor, that was good stuff...

19 is one crazy age... though it's one of those "So I've Turned 19"-type of things... all uneventful ***WHY DOES LAURA's ALARM GO OFF EVERY 10 MINUTES WHILE SHE SLEEPS?? (You'd think it would get annoying)*** Anyway, so nothing really happens when you turn 19 (unless you live in Canada or something)...

So tomorrow is really gonna be her birthday... So I'm gonna finish this and start doing work so I can be free tomorrow. Happy birthday!!!!
