2. Rust In Peace - Megadeth > I'm not gonna drone on here. I'll just use point form. Dave Mustaine & Marty Friedman dual leads. Nick Menza creating erathquakes. Dave Ellefson making people sick. From a strictly metal standpoint, no album comes CLOSE to this one. If you haven't heard it yet, or, if you didn't want to listen to it cuz
the band's name is Megadeth, then you are just letting the best things in life pass you by.
1. Appetite For Destruction - Guns N Roses > Quite simply THE greatest album EVER recorded, and I'll stack that against anyone. I still remember the first time I heard them. Bought the album the day it came out cuz they opened for Crue, so I thought I'd give them a chance. As soon as I heard the guitar intro with Axl cutting in with that scream, it was like you KNEW greatness awaited them. I actually would like to meet a person, under the age of 40, who says they don't like Guns N Roses so I can proceed to tie them to a mule and send them up a mountain. I think it's safe to say that the Guns have reached that level where if you say the name, everyone in North America and %67 of the rest of the world knows who you are talking about. I mean, jesus chrsit, I was walking by Peake's Quay, in the afternoon (you know, family dining time) and they were playing November Rain (i know it's not on this album, but it was written for this album, so blow me). Peake's Quay playing Guns N Fucking Roses????? How's that for clout.
