And then there was me.

At 2:05 on the morning of Thursday, August 5th, 1993, I made my very first appearance on the world stage. I was pink and wrinkly and probably not looking my best, but I wasn't all that concerned with my image at the time. Rather, I was a bit overwhelmed by all the bright lights and large, strange faces grinning at me every waking moment. And probably while I was asleep.

Living as a child in awe of You.

And here I am in this world living with the purpose God has given to me; living to prove He is more precious than life. In this battle of life, negative thoughts, fear, insecurity, worries and doubt are constant battles that I am facing with everyday, however, since faith is now the link of my living, it's what reasure me as a servant of Christ that I can all overcome the battlefield of the mind. Having a Christian life is a painful life; it is not easy nor hard. Not joyless. But not painless either.

My Outlook.

I didn't want a minimal life. I didn't want to live in the outskirts of reality. I wanted to pursue the main thing about life. I am waiting, seeking, hoping to find the Essence of things, instead creating my own essence with my free and unbridled existence. Even voices without root in the Truth knew that there must be something more-- something outside ourselves, something bigger and greater and more woth living for than what we saw in the mirror.

Important Days of My Life

August 5, 1993

My Physical Birth
Yes, I was born on August 5, 1993. And this is one of the days of my life that I treasure the most.

"No regrets that I have been born."

My First day in Iligan City

“There are things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind. But keep in mind that letting go isn’t the end of the world, it’s the beginning of a new life.”

This was my first time leaving from my hometown and be far apart from my parents. This was the start of my journey in my college life where I need to adjust with the life I will be living.

My Spiritual Birth.

Somehow, on this day, there was sadness because I'm not used to celebrate my birthday without my family. However, I was contently happy for I have met my loving and caring boardmates-- they have been my second family, and they've surprised me on the day my birthday-- they had prepared a cake and a banner with their personal messages written on it.

September 3, 2010

My first birthday away from my family.

I have enrolled by this day in the Caring Circle Lessons and committed myself for a weekly Bible Study and for compliance of all assignments before coming to this session. On this day, I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.

"I" died and yet "I" live!

I am alive but it isn't the same "I" as the "I" who died. I am a new creation. The "I" who lives is the new "I" of faith. Each of us is born once in the flesh to human parents, but in order to see and enter into the Kingdom of God, we must be born again by God's Spirit.
"flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption"
(I Corinthians 15:50).
