    Trento, Agusan del Sur is a municipality in the province of Agusan del Sur in the Caraga of the Philippines. The population was 51,565 at the 2015 census. In the 2016 electoral roll, it had 30,392 registered voters. Trento was formerly a barrio of Bunawan called Bahayan (referring to a lead sinker at the base of a fishing net.) On June 15, 1968, it became a seperate municipality through Republic Act No. 5283. The town's name was deriveed from the Council of Trent.
     Trento is classified as Type II climat which has no dre seasom but with pronounced maximum rain period occuring from December to Jnauary. Trento is politically subdivided into 16 barangays. Its economy is dependent heavily on subsistence agricultuture, wood products and some mining.
