Stacey is the only daughter of Matt Ishida. Her mother left when she was about four and since then she grew more distant from her father. As time went on, she become more rebelish and more of a loner, more than what her father was when he was her age. Stacey has the classic rivalry/friendship with Dawn and like their fathers can clash often, but deep down they are good friends and teammates.

But five months before the kids' adventures started, Stacey mysteriously dissappeared. The only trace left was her digivice that was found in the park. The police gave up their search after a couple of months but Matt stayed hopeful that his daughter was still alive somewhere.

Five months later it was revealed she had been living in the Digital World, taking orders from an unknown Digimon. Her partner had been turned into an X Digimon. After sometime Stacey finally excepted she was a DigiDestined and escaped the Digimon's clutches and returned home to her father. Since then their relationship has grown stronger than ever.
