Q. What is Digimon 2.5?

A. Just to clear things up, Digimon 2.5 is NOT a new series of Digimon. It is a fan made story I (CherrygirlUK) first created back in 2003. It's my version of what happened after the "25 years later" epiolgue at the end of Digimon Adventure 02.
The story has changed a lot since 2003. I've edited it a few times, because as I grew older my writing improved and I was able to come up with better and interesting ideas. Some of the original ideas from the first version are still in the current one.

Q. Where did you get the idea for Digimon 2.5?

A. The idea just came to me one day. I guess I was bored one evening and as I didn't like how the original Adventure 02 ended (mainly the Sorato) I thought I'd write my very own version for fun. It first started off as just a story. Then a while later I designed the characters on paint. The characters apperances have changed a lot over the years. As time went on, and after I joined deviantart.com, I began drawing fanart of my characters and finally decided to have a bash at drawing the story out in manga form.

Q. Where did you get the ideas for the children of the DigiDestined?

A. All the children of the DigiDestined are based off myself and my friends. I noticed how we all had similar personalities to the DigiDestined so I thought why not base the children off them? The main 10 children are based on my real life friends from school at the time and there are a small few other characters who are based off my online friends.

Q. If I created a character, can it be in Digimon 2.5?

A. Sorry, but the story is already planned out so adding anymore characters would kinda mess things up. But I will be writing a few movie stories and might consider introducing a few new characters, so contact me if you wish to be in the story and I'll keep you posted.

Q. How many episodes do you plan to write and is there gonna be a sequel?

A. I plan writing 55 episodes, but that could change slightly but I highly doubt it. And also, there will be a sequel. I haven't decided if it will be similar to the original sequel there was, I might change the concept a little but that's not for certain yet. Also, I haven't decided if I will work on the sequel straight after finishing Digimon 2.5.

Q. Can I use some of your characters in my own story?

A. Yes you can. But only if you give me credit for them please.

Q. How long does it take you to update the story and manga?

A. Depends really. I'm busy most of the time with work and other stuff so lately I haven't had chance to update the story and manga as much as I used to. So don't worry, just because I haven't updated in a while doesn't mean I've given up on it.
