Anne Frank's friend, Jacque van Maarsen, and her family
lived in one of the ground floor apartments in clear view here. This building had gardens/yards
in the middle which all of the apartments looked over
from their rear windows. Of course, Anne visited Jacque at home during their brief but intense
friendship.
