Mandate: Support the creation of an independent Student Association for International Development and Globalization (IDG) and International Studies and Modern Languages (ISML) programmes
~No Taxation Without Proper Representation~
We believe that activities of an association should be oriented towards the benefit and development of all of its members. We as well believe in the spirit of democracy, in free consent for representation, and in the respect of such a fundamental right.

The path to the revindication of this violation to student's right has not been an easy one. It is not the first time, since 2003, that an effort to organize a movement for an ISL & IDG association is banned. The last one was, in February 2006, when we collected more than 100 supporting signatures in order to legitimize the
March 7,8 & 9 of 2006 Referendum Question. This time PSSA brought a complaint concerning six accusations against us to the to the Student Arbitration Commmittee (SAC) aiming to ban this Referendum. In order to respond to their accusations, proof in hands, to demonstrate that our actions were democratic and that they were intended to take into account PSSA stipulations -though constraining, regarding the conflic of interests-, we submitted a Manifest of Defence to SAC on March 4th 2006, day of the hearing. Afterwards, SAC pronounced their decision that recognized the right of students to hold a referendum for the creation of ADI-ISDA to be held at the same time of PSSA elections (March 22 and 23 2006). Nonetheless, executives from SFUO, in accordance with PSSA executives, decided not to recognize SAC's decision as legitimate (Remark: SAC is the highest instance every student can appeal concerning issues with the SFUO); their reasonment: "SAC did not deliberated their decision using the lastest version of SFUO's constitution", which was not available online. Nevertheless, shouldn't SFUO have the responsability and obligation to guarantee transparence making accurate information available for anybody, first and foremost to the SAC?

University's student representation is having a crisis of favoritism and lack of transparence. As for us students of ISML and IDG, we still remain illegitimately represented, hence UNREPRESENTED.
