Dear Barrister Emmanuel,
I hope all is going well for you. I also want to thank you for all you have been doing in order to successfully effect all the modalities of the transfer of funds. You asked me what I can do to help with the remaining legal documents and I would like to help you cover the expenses. I know that these legal matters are never cheap here in the US and I'm sure that the same is true in your country. I would also like to know if it is customary to pay government officials a bribe in order to get them to move more quickly in our favour. I have heard that there are many countries in Africa where you can hardly even get a business license or building permit without paying some local official under the table.
As I said, I would like to help pay some of the burden for these expenses but it will be difficult for me to raise the money until I can get the insurance money for the policy on my cousin, Roman Conquest. I am on a fixed income and have very little but if I could only get the money from the insurance company, our problems would be solved. Therefore I would like to request that you send scan me a copy of the death certificate. You could change the name to Roman Conquest very easily and this would release $1.5 million to me minus taxes.
Please enjoy your Christmas holiday and remember the love of our Saviour.
Your friend,
Norman Conquest
