10th Australian Indoor Archery Championships, Adelaide, 2002The event will be held at The Parks Community Centre, Angle Park, site of the Indoor Event for the 7th Australian Masters Games in 1999 and for the 8th Australian Indoor Archery Championships. The venue is the basketball/multi-purpose stadium at the "The Parks", Cowan Street, Angle Park. (For the location refer to the map below.) It can accommodate up to 40 archers on the line; therefore, shooting will be undertaken in flights based on bow types/sections. Depending on the number of entries, there could be 3 or 4 flights each day. The full program with flight details will be posted approximately one month prior to the event. For the Championships, each archer will be required to shoot two rounds. A FITA Indoor I round, i.e. 60 arrows at 18 metres, will be shot each day. Shooting of the first flight each day will commence at 8:30am with practice from 7:30am. Separate practice/warm-up facilities will also be available for those shooting the next flight when the current flight is underway. The quality of the lighting is usually an issue at indoor events. The Organisers are confident the lighting will exceed your expectations. The lighting for the 2000 Nationals event was well above average, and the Organisers are keen to improve even on that standard. The medals for the events may be awarded at the end of each flight (depending on whether the whole section shoots within one flight). For the Australian Indoor Teams Championships, names of team members and up to two officials must be forwarded to the Organising Committee no later than 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the official practice ends on 13th July, 2002. See "News" on the home page for details of further developments for the 10th Australian Indoor Archery Championships, Adelaide, 2002.
