Robert Elmer Blakely

15 Feb 1915 - 2 Sept 1987

Passed away at his home in Alliston, Ontario, on Wednesday, September 2, 1987, in his 73rd year. Elmer, beloved husband if Marion Wright. Predeceased by his brothers Norman, Gordon, and Howard Blakely and his sisters Mrs. Claudine Bulman and Luella Blakely. Loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Rested at the W. John Thomas Funeral Home, Alliston, where funeral service was held in the Chapel on Sunday, September 5, 1987. Interment Alliston Union Cemetery. If so desired memorial donations to The Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.

Walter James "Dick" Brasier

16 July 1908 - 7 Aug 1988

Suddenly at Belleville, Ontario, on Sunday, August 7, 1988, Dick Brasier, in his 81st year, was the beloved husband of the late Doris Ranson. Dear father of James (Jim), Shirley (Mrs. Gordon Erwin) and Murray, all of Lindsay. Dear brother of Frank, Lillian (Mrs. Walter Gosling) and Florence (Mrs. Bill Mosley), all of Lindsay, Dave of Fenelon Falls, Margie (Mrs. Paul Gassien) of Dunsford, Leonard of Whitby, Charles of Perth, Albert of Burlington, also Sam, Bill and Steve predeceased. Lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren. Resting at Mackey Funeral Home, Peel Street, Lindsay, Tuesday, August 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with funeral service in Chapel on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or St. Paul's Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Harriet Bullied

29 Sept 1835 - 4 Mar 1925

Bullied, Harriet - The funeral of the late Mrs. Harriet Bullied (nee Ashby) of Holland, Manitoba, was held in the Union Church there on Wednesday, March 4th. Rev. C. Finnemore conducted the service and spoke veryhighly of the deceased who, in spite of her advanced age, retained all her faculties until the last, and passed away quietly in her sleep at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pascoe at Killarney, Ontario with whom she has made her home recently.
The late Mrs. Bullied was born in Northamptonshire, Eng., on September 29, 1835. She came to Canada when five years of age with her parents, who settled on a farm near Port Hope, Ontario. On September 16, 1851, she married Samuel Bullied, there being ten children born of this union. Mr. Bullied came to Manitoba in 1887 and settled on a farm north of Holland, where Mrs. Bullied joined him later. Mr. Bullied predeceased his wife 20 years ago and a son, Thomas, died in 1916. She leaves five daughters and four sons: Mrs. W.H. Gibson of Peterborough, Ont.; Mrs. Thomas Adams (Maria) of Toronto; Mrs. T.G. Thompson of Ragland, Ont.; Mrs. W.K. Adams of Vancouver; Mrs. Fred. Pascoe of Killarney; Whitney Bullied of London, Ont.; Samuel Bullied of Treherne, Man.; James and Charles Bullied of Holland. There are also 54 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren.
The pallbearers were six grandsons, Fred Bullied, Sidney, Merril, Earle, Frank and Ernest Bullied. Interment took place at Brookdale Cemetery in Holland, Manitoba.

Thomas Frederick Ranson Cartwright

23 July 1926 - 2 Aug 2000

Passed away peacefully, at his home, on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Jeune. Loving father of John and his wife Joan, and Paul and his wife Joan. Dear "grandpa" of Andrew, Alastair, Kimberley, Thomas and Kate. Brother of Doreen Breckels. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Ave. (south of Eglinton East) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, August 9 at 3 o'clock. A reception will follow in the Leaside Room of the funeral home.
