Adams Family History
The name Adams in Ireland is of immigrant origin having brought to the country by settlers who arrived into the Province of Ulster in the seventeenth century from Scotland therefore of Presbyterian religion. McBride is also of Scottish origin settling earlier in Ireland then the Adams'. Adams is sometimes used as a synonym of Aidy and Eadie in County Down and it is in Ulster that the majority of descendants can still be found.  |
