India

There are a million and one home pages devoted to India, and you can find anything from a collection of hindi movie songs to an urdu dictionary. These are easy to find - for instance, through the India Home Page in Boston and the collection of Indian Home Pages in Texas!

This page is intended to be a collection of links to articles about issues in India. I hope to maintain a certain plurality in the views to be found here, though ultimately of course this page will be biased towards articles favoring my own world-view. If you have anything you would like to see added here or suggestions for a better balance of views, please send email to [email protected]. And since you came this way, do stop by my home page.

Note There used to be a lot of links here to articles in The Hindu. But that paper deletes "old" articles from its online archives, making all these links useless, and so I have deleted them from these pages. Unfortunately, this has meant the demise of the sections on "Caste" and "North-East".
