Quatre was too much in a shock to even react to the situation as he just stared at his two friends. *There's nothing but nymphos in this house! First, Trowa, then these two nearly jump Heero!!!* Quatre backed away from all four of them nervously.
Duo blinked down at his empty arms and let out a little whimper as he realized he was no longer holding anyone, the glassy smile dropping away from his face. He didn't feel like playing anymore, now he just wanted to be held, and the sound said all that. Wufei snapped to attention with the distressed noise, broken partially out of his trance immediately. He spotted Duo staring down at his own arms, his expression having rejection written all over it, and he moved forward, drawing the braided teen close and sinking to the floor with him. Wufei closed his eyes, petting a hand down Duo's hair and whispering soothing words to make Duo feel better... And to make himself feel better. Duo closed his eyes and leaned into Wufei, his arms wrapping tightly around Wufei in return as he buried his nose in his chest, shaking a little from the sudden rush of emotions and arousal that came and went in the last few moments. Both were uncertain how they ended up on the floor, but the mutual need for comfort was clear, and Wufei was afraid.
Duo finally found his voice, murmuring into Wufei's shirtfront. "I'm okay, I'm fine, really, I'm okay." He tightened his arms, this murmurs to reassure them both as he brought himself back down to earth from the haze he'd suddenly found himself in. "You're okay too, right Fei?" The last question is a little louder, a pleading note in his voice.
"Yes. I'm...okay. I'm okay." Wufei hid his face in Duo's shoulder and reversed their positions, crawling into Duo's lap, trying to get the other boy as physically as close as possible. Duo nodded against Wufei, cuddling him into his lap as closely as he could. Duo's hands moved over Wufei's back now that he'd calmed, intent on bringing Wufei to a place where he wasn't shaking like a leaf. Heero stood by as he watched the pair, guilt hovering on the edges of his mind but he pushed it away, turning to his other two comrades.
Both Trowa and Quatre were staring at the two on the floor in differing versions of shock still as Heero turned his attention to them. Trowa hadn't thought either of the two were gay, so the groping of Heero left him immobilized, but to see the fiery Wufei cuddling on the floor whimpering was too much for the green eyed pilot. Quatre was little better, his sad eyes gazing on the scene as his hand absently rubbed at his Uchuu no Kokoro, trying to relieve the pangs coming off the pair of rejection, arousal, confusion, and fear.
Duo moved back from Wufei just a little, lifting his chin to look at his face, his eyes more violet than blue as they studied Wufei's. Duo spoke in a whisper without breaking eye contact. "We're better now, right?"
Wufei finally closed his eyes, running mental fingers over his body to determine if anything was physically wrong. "We're okay. I'm okay. You're okay." Wufei smiled slightly, finding nothing wrong, and raised his hand to stroke his fingers over Duo's cheek.
Duo nodded a little, a soft smile crossing his face. "Right, we're both alright. No injuries, no pain, no reason to be upset, see? C'mon, let's get up off the floor alright?"
Wufei nodded, though his expression turned puzzled. "What are we doing on the floor anyway?"
Duo gently pushed Wufei out of his lap, using his shoulders to push himself to his feet before offering his hands back to Wufei. "Not sure, but it must have been something important, right?"
"Right..." Wufei trailed off, having the feeling that that wasn't entirely true, but took Duo's hands, coming up to his feet before looking at the other three pilots.
"So guys, we were trying to get out of you how it was possible that we were gone for... three weeks, right? So explain how you got three weeks out of two days." Duo didn't let go of Wufei's hands, using them to direct the black haired boy back into a chair. Wufei followed willingly, not wanting to let go of Duo's hands while he was feeling so off balance and settled sideways into a chair. He nodded at Duo's words, encouraging the others to defend their insanity. *There's no way...*
Heero gave them both a cautious look, and remained standing, trying to comprehend what brought about their sudden jump attack on him, and he turned to the other two. He came to the conclusion he'd done something wrong, therefor another must try. "One of you try."
Duo gave Heero a funny look then shrugged, looking over at where Quatre was standing in the corner and decided no answers are coming out of him either, before turning to Trowa. "Trowa?"
"You left on the 15th at approximately 0500 hours, it is now 1047 hours, it is now the 6th. Where were you?" Trowa was almost accusing with his tone.
Duo stared at Trowa. "Pardon?" Duo broke in before Trowa could answer his questioning word. "It's the 17th, 18th at the latest, what do you mean it's the 6th? This isn't funny guys!"
"I mean, it's the 6th. The 6th day of the month, the day that follows the 5th of the month. Not the 17th, not the 18th." Trowa's tone was rather brisk, indicating that he was starting to get rather pissed off. "This isn't funny." Trowa stated quietly, using Duo's own words.
Duo shook his head in denial, glaring at Trowa stubbornly. "You're right, it isn't, so knock it off! It's not something you joke about. We came in last night and you guys weren't here, that wasn't our fault, so don't go playing this joke on us for it!"
"We're not playing any jokes on you. Heero and I just got back from a mission last night that took us nearly two weeks. Two weeks in which we were worried about you. We've heard nothing from you, and we feared the worst, so don't play that game with *me.*" Trowa glared back, his head lifted.
"That's impossible!" Wufei jumped in, unwilling to sit in silence while Trowa practically called Duo a liar.
"I'm not playing any game! Damn it, why would I play games with this? I got fucking *shot* on that mission, so I damn well know when it happened!" Duo moved closer to Wufei, looping his arm around his shoulders, an unconscious show of a united front.
"We went in, we blew them up, and then we escaped. We passed out in the woods from exhaustion and rested before coming out here. It took three days *tops* "Wufei wrapped his own arms around Duo's waist and gently nuzzled Duo's cheek with his nose, closing his eyes partially as he tried to soothe Duo's ire. "It's okay."
"It's *not* okay! They're playing with us! That's *so* not okay!" Duo was nearly shouting. He wanted to deny it... He couldn't have lost time like that; he refused for it to be true.
"No... no. It's all right. They are just confused." Wufei ignored Trowa's indignant glare. "Come on. It's alright, calm down." Wufei pulled himself in front of Duo and hugged him tightly, his cheek resting against Duo's neck as he took deep breaths to keep himself calm.
"No, it's not okay, it isn't, it isn't it isn't!" Duo was quieter, but his words were running together as he neared tears. Time was the only thing he'd ever had that was his, his memories were his, and if it's the next month then they weren't his anymore. "Make em see since they're confused, they can't be tellin the truth!" His voice was slipping into a heavier street accent with the upset. It was getting to him more than it otherwise might have. Wufei picked Duo up in his arms, taking the hysterical pilot forcibly into the other room, while glaring at the other three until he passed through the door.
