BIOS CUSTOMIZATION PAGE

DISCLAIMER

Well in the spirit of true overclocking not only do we want to run our systems at blazinly fast speeds (not officially ofcourse) but we also want to customize our computers to the max. In the spirit of redoing everything I have come accross these interesting facts.

As it seems you don't have to put up with the existing BIOS look... You can screw around with virtually all visual aspects of your BIOS without any damage to either your ego or your computer. This is what this page is about.

To do this highly unusual task you will need the following software:

BMP2EPA.zip 75Kb Bitmap to EPA Image file format converter
NEW cbrom224.zip 47Kb Award BIOS Combiner. This will let you add various options to your BIOS and will let you change the EPA logo. You get some extra abilities with this version as opposed to 1.12 and you can also extract the existing contents in separate files.
cbrom.zip 27Kb Instruction manual for cbrom in Word format. The manual is still for older versions.
modbin45.zip 26Kb Award BIOS modifier, it will let you edit your bios options
modbin.zip 59Kb Instruction manual for modbin in Word format
convert12.zip 116Kb A supposed all-in-one BMP to EPA converter and embedded. I found it to be rather strange to use, it is easier to do this by hand
EPAlogos.zip 14Kb A library of existing EPA logos that you can use
NEW dmicfg.zip 40Kb A DMI editor, I have to warn you though, it can do some weird and painful things. I ended up reflashing my board, thank god for the bootblock in the bios.

To change the logo...

To change other options...
