What is a Network?

Parts of Network--Part One

Networks can be interoperable. This means that different types of computers, using different operating systems, can be connected, communicate with each other, and share information - as long as they follow the network protocols. Network traffic is the information that travels along the network. If there is a great deal of traffic information travels slower than when there is less traffic. A network hub is a central location where all the network cables come together.
