O.L.S.S. WILDLIFE RESCUE AND REHABILITATION CENTER

PLANS FOR 1997

The O.L.S.S. Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center just purchased a new 32 acre mountain site located in the Ramah Valley in New Mexico near the famous Candy Kitchen Wolf Rescue Ranch.The property is just outside the Cibola and Gila National Forests. The land sits at an altitude of 7500 feet and is sheltered with stands of Oak, Cedar and Pine trees.

Our current building and area development plan includes:

... Animal Emergency Care Unit - includes 20 indoor/outdoor runs,
intake reception and records area, operating room, bird room, small mammal room,
medicine supply and food cabinets, central heat, washer & dryer, and lots more.
... A new well
... Additional power lines
... Upgraded septic system
... Completely fencing the entire property with an 8' security fence.
... A large duck/swan pond with fountain.
... Residential Office
... Residential Internship housing
... Nine 25' X 100' Flight Cages.
... Six 100' X 100' double security fenced cat/bear enclosures.
... Six 100' X 100' fenced Deer/Elk/Wolf/Fox enclosures.
... Four 50' X 100' fenced animal enclosures.
... Four 25' X 100' fenced animal enclosures.
... Twenty-five new double sized Raptor cages.
... Twenty-five new large bird cages.
... Fifty new small to medium animal cages.
... Paved driveway and parking lot. ... Four RV hookups.
... Natural landscaping.

In keeping with the natural landscape it is our hope to use Canadian Cedar, adobe and native plants in the building and construction of all buildings.
