| This bedroom was fun! The goal was to create a space where my husband and I both would be comfortable. The walls are done in two wallpaper patterns and two borders. I think the room has a lush, Morrocan feel. It took WEEKS to strip layers of paint from all the woodwork in this room. The ceiling was repaired and painted and even the old ceiling fan got a makeover (painted the blades and added a piece of the wallpaper border around the top). The fireplace you see - isn't! This covers an old radiator. The design is mine and even the hearth is faux! I painted tiles onto a 1/8" thick piece of luann plywood, added a stained border and beveled the edges. Everyone has to touch it because they can't believe it is not real tile. All the dried flower arrangements use flowers from my garden. Isn't that a HUGE bed??! We LOVE it! It is an upholstered sleigh bed, done in green leather - yup, that's right - leather! This is the one thing we splurged on in this room. I saw it in a store and knew it was the "one". It was even on sale! :-) The corner bookcase units used to be in the living room but this space needed the large pieces. Nightstands provide storage as well as a place for smalll reading lamps.
