Valentin is born on February 14, 1995 (thus his name, Valentin!). He is an African Grey parrot. When he came to our house, he was already 1 1/2 years old and had a lot of not so good habits... Valentin was a biter. He was a very confident bird and he adjusted easily to change in his environement. As soon as he got out of the carrier, he started entertaining us with his talking abilities. Valentin's vocabulary his growing every day.

After a few weeks (and a few bloody incidents), he mellowed down a bit allowing me to pick him up from a perch. It took him over a year to accept having his head scratched, and now allows me to spread his wings. He even lies on his back in the palm of my hand.

African Greys are considered quiet birds. Well, Valentin is not what I would consider quiet, especially when he mimmicks Pasha and Kiwi screeching. Luckilly, it happens only once or twice a day.
