ADDITIONAL INFO
IRC Online Conference Consolidated Muster

IRC SERVER AND CHANNEL
All conferences will be on IRC, using us.chatnet.org (port 6667) as the common IRC
server. This server is available via AOL and other online services which provide
World-wide Web access.
Once logged onto IRC (us.chat.net.org), join the NCVA
channel by using the slash-command: /JOIN #NCVADEN

SOFTWARE FOR IRC
Most of the NCVA IRC users are using a
software module called "mIRC" (IBM and clones) and "IRCLE" (Macs).
There are many sites which discuss mIRC, but my personal recommendation is one
suggested by 'Mike' Sonier -- "Ducky's
mIRC Site." At this site, you can learn about and
download the software, including an excellent tutorial.
Thanks mainly to 'Gus' Gustafson, a
procedure has been developed for participating in IRC sessions via the AOL, PRODIGY and
COMPUSERVE systems. These subscribers who want to avail themselves of IRC conferencing
capability will need to download and install the mIRC software, described above.
