The Dragon Lord is one of four generals in the Viking Horde (The Enchantress, The Beserker Commander, and the Commander of the Unhold Norwegian Army). The Dragon Lord himself is the leader of all dragons, and he is respected by all. There are three types of dragons; water, fire, and ice. The Dragon Lord is the last water dragon in the world. The water dragons were the leaders among their fellow dragons. They were also the largest and most powerful. The second largest are the ice dragons, who are also the wisest of the three. The smallest are the fire dragons, who are also ill-tempered. While all possess the power to blow fire, water and ice dragons also control their respective namesake elements.

Back in the times of the first Viking King, dragons walked the earth. The oldest of all creatures, they possessed the powers of the elements. However, man feared these massive creatures, and hunted them into almost complete extinction. An evil king offered them a safe haven, but trapped them all when they entered his great caverns beneath the earth. Without teh sun to rejuvenate them, they eventually were unable to put up a fight, and so the king started to kill them off, starting with the water dragons. All but one had been killed when the Viking King found them and killed their cruel tormentor. The last water dragon was put in the place as Dragon Lord, and he swore that the dragons would defend the Viking Horde to the last. It was the dragons who broke the seals protecting the Goddess' castle when the Horde set out to destroy her for betraying the Viking King. They then fought off her evil guards until the Beserker Commander led his troops into her stronghold and slew her. The Dragon Lord was the last member of the Horde to see the Viking King alive as well, for he transported him to the battlefield on that fateful day back on 1066.
